Greek Life. You know, that thing that everyone condemns, that thing that all your non-Greek family, companions, and associates don't comprehend. We have all heard the negative disgrace about fraternity and sorority life consistently. Greek life is no more bizarre to the open eye. General society has rushed to denounce the Greek framework as being out of line, imperfect, and pointless on college grounds. Tragically, what the network doesn't see is the colossal measure of energy that goes with participation in fraternity and sorority life. Everyone has their sentiment about Greek life, however, like numerous different associations, you can't comprehend it except if you have encountered it.

Most suppositions and negative remarks about fraternity and sorority life originate from people who were never separated from it. In the same way as other different strict gatherings, ideological groups, and social orders, one individual speaks to the whole association. It is simple for individuals to make assumptions dependent on one individual's activities. For instance, one may accept that all Christians are critically based on one discussion with a Christian. It is profoundly far-fetched that all Christians have precisely the same viewpoints and conclusions as that one person. It is unreasonable to form a hasty opinion about each individual from that strict direction. Similarly, as it is unreasonable to expect that all individuals from Greek life are untrustworthy and wild. One part's helpless decisions don't mirror the ethics and estimations of that whole association. As Christians, every individual from Greek life is different and can't be placed into a crate.

We have all heard the negative generalizations about Greek life: we are lethargic, we utilize our daddy's money, we pay for our companions, we fog our individuals, all we care about is celebrating, we are not centered around school or our fates. These presumptions are hostile. I am an independent college understudy. I pay for my lease, my educational cost, and my sorority contribution. I work all day and figure out how to hold administration positions inside my section just as different associations. I have kept up a 3.6 GPA, and have a reasonable public activity. I don't possess Lilly Pulitzer or stroll around in a couple of Jack Rodgers. I buckle down, I study more enthusiastically, and I am energetic about my sorority. Participation in Alpha Delta Pi was the best thing that at any point transpired. It instructed me to be a pioneer, to be sure and humble, to never agree to anything short of what I merit, and that I can do anything I set my focus on. I have increased lifelong fellowships and recollections.

Being Greek is about something other than wearing letters. It is about "having a home away from home." It is about getting separated from something greater and endeavoring to turn into the best form of yourself. It is about altruism, and fund-raising for nearby causes to help individuals out of luck. It is about administration, systems administration, and creating vocation aptitudes that you can use in the expert world. It shows you how to fill in as a group and coexist with others. Every fraternity and sorority is established on a lot of qualities and ethics that are set up to consider its individuals responsible. Your siblings and sisters are there to urge you to live by those qualities. They push you to be the best understudy, pioneer, and companion. Greek Life has improved my college involvement in all ways imaginable, and for it, I am eternally appreciative. I am glad to wear my letters. I am glad to be Greek.
