The Path To Financial Freedom
Posted: Aug 28, 2020
Financial pressures can get exceedingly worst over time, and if you let your situation go on without taking action, you may never experience financial freedom. Money is an important part of everyones life, and for better or worst, we need to ensure we have it.
Working is just a small part of life, but we do it for good reason. We want to enjoy the great things life has to offer. We want to enjoy our friends and family and help those around us. It is important to plan for the future and make sure our goals and ambitions can be realised.
For us to have success, we require money, and this is not always easy. Most of us do our best, but sometimes more is needed.
Above and BeyondIf you are sick of living pay-check to pay-check then there really is only one solution. You need to do more. This can be a hard pill to swallow. After all, most of us are already working full-time jobs with long hours. How much more can we seriously do?
Well, firstly, you need to make sure your main source of employment is paying you the absolute most it can. Ensure you are receiving fair compensation for your worth. This could involve asking for a raise, which is actually easier than you think. The worst that can happen is that they say no.
Or perhaps you need to consider moving to a different employer that will pay you a higher wage. If you have been stuck at the same firm working the same position for years, take the time to consider a move. There is a good chance you could get paid more for doing the same job but somewhere else.
Secondly, you need to earn outside of your main source of income. This may be termed a side hustle, part-time job or second business. it really doesn’t matter what you call it, what matters is you are doing it.
The really successful people out there normally have something extra going on. And if you want financial freedom, you need to start thinking about this now.
Side HustleThere are thousands of potential side hustles you could consider. It is best to choose something that lends itself to your strengths and is manageable within your current work-life schedule. I have had some success as a virtual assistant, but this is very time consuming and no longer conducive for my work-life balance.
If you can find a side hustle that pays you a form of passive income, whereby you initially put in a lot of work to set it up, and then it continues to pay for years to come, this is ideal. The best types of passive income will require some sort of initial investment, but once set up can be extremely lucrative.
Make Money OnlineYou may only require a small amount of extra income to release yourself from the shackles of financial stress. Therefore exploring the myriad of online money-making opportunities might be worth considering.
Online surveys, focus groups, user testing and blogging are all great ways to top up the old bank account and increase your disposable income.
You should not need to overthink this. So many hours are wasted on TV watching, drinking alcohol, parties and going out. It’s all well and good to have fun, but if it’s at the behest of your financial wellbeing, it might be time to consider a change.
