South United Sports Schools, the official training partner of South United Football Club, is a multi-city network of football training programmes. South United aims to be the number one grassroots sports provider in India, nurturing, developing, and propelling young Indian sporting talent to global success both on and off the field. Apart from football coaching and training, Summer Camps, Tournaments, and Sports Clinics have been conducted across the country, reaching out to over 7000 students.

South United’s training programmes start from the age of 3 years and also extend to individuals who are 21 years and above. The Sports School Programmes, which are open to all genders, are classified as The South United Sporty Tots Programme (3-5 years), South United Sports Schools (6-20 years), and South United Open Age training (21 and above).

The Sporty Tots Programme is a unique way of introducing children to the world of sports and fitness through fun and interactive sessions conducted by qualified and professional coaches. Between the ages of 3 and 6, it is essential that children have fun while playing sports, as well as gain basic social and motor skills.

The programme for older students is divided into recreational and professional football training. This ranges from in-school and after school training, to team training, to even individual training. South United believes that Sport is the optimal way to inculcate life skills in a child and a great way to induce self-confidence and leadership in the long run. The programmes include regular monitoring and evaluation of students based on attendance, growth, and development. The South United curriculum, which focuses on the holistic development of an individual, is based on encouraging children and fostering a sense of physical, mental, and social well-being.

South United’s Open Age Training targets men and women who are 21 and above who seek football training. This, too, includes both recreational and competitive training. South United coaches are trained to cater to the various needs of this age group and have successfully trained multiple teams for competitive tournaments.

South United hires professional coaches and uses quality equipment for every training session. The sessions are planned in advance, and the delivery of each programme is customized to suit the needs of the individuals involved. The coaches regularly monitor and evaluate each individual’s performance and provide reports based on skills tests conducted. Each session is structured to ensure that players develop their technical, tactical, and physical skills, and improve their social and psychosocial skills.

South United, through its various activities, aims to encourage and nurture a sporting environment amongst members of society and boost community participation in the same.

We run in-school programmes which engage children in the game of football. These are meant as leisure training programmes with aspects that allow for identification and development of talent through more serious programmes, such as our after-school offerings and progression to the Academy.

True to our vision, we want to reach as many people as we can through sport and provide them with a realistic pathway to make a career for themselves in sport. One of the channels for us to be able to do this is to partner with schools and deliver our programmes directly to the children there. This system allows us to increase the exposure for our quality football training programmes while making it easily accessible to kids and parents.
