India a large country with vast terrain full of people living in metro, towns, villages and isolated dwelling far removed from the madding crowd is difficult to travel. The major arterial roads of National highways form a network with state and local highways besides roads leading to the interior of the country.

Contrary to poplar belief the majority of highways are now of International standard and this applies to the routes in the Indian States as well. Under PMG scheme the interior roads are mostly cemented and in good conditions while some may want repair. In order to boost tourism the country is developing its infrastructure at break neck speed and the results are showing in every nook and corner of the country.

In short the Nation is a better place and safer. Yet due to distances and rough terrain at places the degree of travel can be classified as demanding in remote areas. Most of the reserves lie in remote corners of the State with limited facilities.

The visitors to the country have noted the long distance from airports and railway stations to the National Parks and Wildlife Sanctuary. This means the high end clients have to taxi for few hours further to reach the wildlife destinations. But this too is being taken care of under the Government Udaan Scheme whereby airports are being built in smaller towns and connected with the major ones. This would reduce the driving distance for those not will to cut long hours on roads.

Another aspect of travel in India is the accommodation. In earlier times most of the resorts hotels were not of International Standards, but not anymore. In all tourist destinations you will find high end hotels including in the tiger reserves. The reserves also boast of five star hotels available for a stay albeit at higher tariff. Even heritage properties i.e. those converted from forts and magnificent palaces are available to a stay in ultra luxury. The hospitality service and holiday experience is World class in these properties.

Lots of facilities are being created at highways to ease, travel this includes refreshment rooms, snack bars and restaurants. This is important, and the country is building facilities everywhere. Hospitality industry is big business here and no stone is being left unturned to improve. After all it is the visitor experience that will boost our economy and earn valuable foreign exchange.

Hence the rich and those seeking extreme comfort in the country will be happy. Even the experience in wildlife destination is amazing. The tour operators organize luxury packages to tiger reserve by chartered planes and land near the destinations. Some organize travel by air, deluxe cars and stay at high end properties with all luxuries taken care off. Hence a new class of travel the luxury tiger safari is trending in India. The upscale travel and stay has been made possible by the efforts of the Government and business alike. High end travelers do not compromise of luxury, comfort and safety and that is the goal of our hospitality industry. Welcome to India.
