000-610, IBM DB2 10.1 Fundamentals-Make Your Dreams Come True

The 000-610, DB2 10.1 Fundamentals exam consists a total number of 69 test questions. These multiple choice type test questions are needed to be solved in 90 minutes. The passing score is 66%. Making a score less than 66% would result in failure and in order to be certified the candidates, he/she would have to reappear for the test. The candidate would also have to resubmit the registration fee and would have to make time to prepare for the test from the start as well. It is available in English and Japanese only.

Topics covered in the exam

The 000-610 IBM DB2 10.1 Fundamentals exam consists of the following topics. The percentage written along determines the amount of area one topic can cover in the test relative to the other. It also tells about the weight of each topic and the amount of questions each topic might contain as compared to the other. The test will validate a candidate's knowledge and skill for solving the problems or technical tasks related to the topics. The list under each topic tells about the area each topic consists of. 1. Planning (10%)

Familiarity with DB2 products.

Understanding of database workloads.

Familiarity with data concepts that are not related.

2. Security (15%)

Knowledge about how to restrict access to data.

Knowledge about various authorities and privileges.

Depending upon a DCL SQL instruction, the knowledge of identifying the outcomes or results.

Familiarity with Row and Column Access Control (RCAC).

3. To work with Databases and its Objects (20%)

Connection to and creating the DB2 servers and databases.

Identifying DB2 objects and the knowledge of their fundamental features and properties.

According to a DDL SQL program line, identifying results.

Familiarity with Time Travel Tables.

4. To work with DB2 Data by the use of SQL (20%)

Using for selecting data from various tables.

Using SQL for grouping and/or sorting data.

Using SQL for removing, updating or entering data.

Knowledge of proceedings.

Calling and creating a procedure which is SQL supported or functions which is user defined.

Time travel tables.

5. To work with tables, indexes and views of DB2 (22%)

Exhibiting usage of types of data of DB2 data types.

Creating a temporary table (depending upon the given situation).

Knowledge of identifying methods to constraint data.

Knowledge of identifying features of views, tables and/or indexes.

Knowledge of identifying the right time for using triggers.

6. Concurrency of data (13%)

Identifying the locking influencing factors.

Listing objects on the lock table.

Identifying DB2 lock features.
