Reading is a good habit that should be developed at an early age. This helps children learn more, understand more and grasp different ideas. It also bulbs a strong vocabulary which helps them in future learning. Reading leaves a great impact on our brains as well. It helps concentrate moree, it exercises our brain to think more critically and once you start reading, you start enjoying it. Mentioned here a few good picks for Urdu and English both languages.

  1. Anokha Faqeer

The main plot of this novel revolves around a beggar and the Caliph Haroon ur Rasheed. The unique and ideal story traces a lot to the kids and is the need of today's generation. The book is published by Hamdard Foundation and is an excellent choice for children. It contains 4 stories

E.B White’s Charlotte’s Web gives children a great moral of true-friendship. It a universal fact that children have a pure heart and friendships of the young age last forever. The main characters of the novel are a pig named Wilbur and his friend, a spider named Charlotte. Charlotte is the best friend of Wilbur as he is new to the barn. He always stays by his side and helps him through tough times.

  1. Ikhlaqi Kahaniyan Bachon Ke Liye

Ikhlaqi kahaniyan is basically a set of stories with great morals for kids. It is a goodread for children under 15. It is in easy urdu language so that children can understand the crux of the story well. Having stries that define your childs moral character are very important. You can read these as bedtime stories or can setup a time when they read, learn and enjoy.

Rudyard Kipling's adventurous "The Jungle Book" revolves around the life of a man-cub Mowgli. He was left off in the jungle alone when he was a baby and was brought up by apes.He developed habits similar to the animals he lived around. With time he had a gang of his own which included a sloth bear named Baloo,he taught mowgli how to survive around the jungle. A black Panther named Bagheera,who guides and protects mowgli from the enemies especially Sher Khan He was hunted by a tiger named Sher Khan, who was always after him. The story is enjoyable for teens and kids.
