While choosing lights, your priority has to be the LED lights because they are cheap and long-lasting. In helping you sort out the lighting issues of the living room below, we have compiled a detailed guide on the suspended ceiling light fixture installation of led fluorescent lights.

Ladder

Ceiling wire

Wire-cutter

Pliers

Ceiling screws

When you are installing lights in a suspended ceiling, you need to measure the distance of the grid carefully. The best possible option is to use a 2-by-4 foot fixture distance. Now, let's get to the guide without any wait.

Step-by-step instructions:
  • The first and foremost thing you need to do is turn off the power supply of your house. This step is crucial to be o the safe side. You only need to take out the circuit breaker.
  • The second option is that you need to hang at least four ceiling wires down from your suspended ceiling.
  • Every wire should be one at each corner of where you will install the light fixture.
  • Now, measure that all the four wires have to be at a distance of 6 inches from the ceiling grid.
  • Next, turn the light fixture at a small angle and lift it upwards through the ceiling grid. After that and slowly lower it into the grid.
  • You have to maintain light pressure on the end of the light, so the ceiling grid does not have to bear its full weight.
  • Start at the first corner of the light fixture and twist the adjacent corner's ceiling wire up and through the hole on the light fixture.
  • Make sure to pull tight and wrap the wire around itself. Repeat this process on the other three corners.
  • The next step is to insert the wire strap from the light fixture into the nearby socket box that needs to give electricity to the lighting circuit. Fasten the connector nut to hold the cord in its appropriate place.
  • In this step, you have to wrap the black, white, and ground wires with each other.
  • Now tighten each grouping of wires with a wire nut and screw the cover back on to the electrical box.
  • Now for the other lights, follow the above process for each ceiling light. Once complete.
  • After you have completed and installed all the lights, you have to turn on the power of the lighting circuit and check that all the light fixtures are working appropriately.
