Some people ignore the meat items at dinner because they think meat takes a long time to cook. Some meat dishes are prepared using two or more types of meat, while others are only prepared using one type. But you can prepare any meat dish in a short time as well. You do not always have the time for a slow-cooked meat dish. Sometimes it’s a busy day, and you don’t have the time to marinate the chicken in advance. Wonder how restaurants prepare items in less time? They know the tricks and the recipes, and they have the right equipment. Most of the restaurants have a stainless steel refrigerated prep table to keep everything at hand. Below is the best recipe you will need to prepare a meat dish in 5 minutes.

Recipe Name: Beef and Veggie Stir Fry

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Serving: 4

Ingredients:
  • 2 -tablespoons olive oil
  • 7-slices of raw ginger
  • 2-cloves of garlic (crushed)
  • 1 pound boneless sirloin (thinly sliced)
  • 1-red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 8-oz. fresh snow peas (trimmed)
  • 1-head broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 1-onion (cut into ½ inch wedges)
  • 2-tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1-tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2-tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1-tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 cups warm cooked rice (optional)
  • Roasted sesame seeds (a pinch)
Directions:
  1. In a large non-stick skillet, add olive oil and heat it.
  2. Now add ginger, garlic, and beef.
  3. Cook it for 2 minutes until the meat looks brown.
  4. Now add bell pepper, onion, broccoli, and snow peas.
  5. Continue cooking for 3 minutes.
  6. In a small bowl, throw soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, and rice vinegar.
  7. Whisk the ingredients.
  8. When the vegetables in the skillet are crisp-tender, pour this sauce into the skillet and cook it until the sauce thickens.
  9. Serve it over rice, or you can also eat it just like this.
  10. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.
Tips and Tricks:
  • Feel free to add other vegetables such as carrots, bok choy, mushrooms, or baby corn.
  • For a spicy flavour, you can add chilli oil or other spices.
  • If you love Chinese food, you can add some Oyster sauce in this meal too.
  • You can serve this dish on various items such as noodles, rice, or quinoa. If you are shedding pounds, you can use cauliflower rice as a great alternative.
  • Cut the beef against the grain to ensure it is tender.
  • Do not over-cook the vegetables.
  • Velvet the beef for a tender and smooth texture.
  • Make sure the cornstarch gets dissolved before adding the sauce into the skillet. If the cornstarch is un-dissolved, you will see lumps of it in the skillet.
