Do you want to send customized voice notes to your followers? Here’s how to voice tweet in simple steps!

Twitter is a microblogging and social networking platform launched in 2006, where users interact with each other by "tweeting". The registered users can post and retweet while the unregistered users can only read the tweets. Twitter was initially launched as a text-based social network. The tech company soon introduced the pictures option and now, Twitter has launched its voice tweet feature that allows you to send personalized voice notes/tweets to your followers. This feature is only available for IOS users at this time and it is unsure when the site will launch the voice tweet option for the android version. Below are simple steps on how to voice tweets on Twitter.

  1. First, Open the Twitter application on your iPhone. Tap on the small option on the bottom right to compose a tweet

  2. Now, type out the desired tweet for your followers if you want to skip this step, you can just record a voice teet.

  3. Select the acoustic wave icon on the bottom left of the toolbar right above your keyboard

  4. A red microphone will appear. Whenever you are ready to record a tweet, tap the microphone.

  5. A soundbar will pop-up on the screen depicting that the recording has started.

  6. You can see a small pause option right below the soundbar. Whenever you are finished or want to take a break, tap on the pause button and whenever you feel like resuming, tap on it again to continue.

  7. Although, Twitter has not launched an option that tells a specific time limit for the recording, the audio will break into two if it exceeds a two-minute recording limit.

  8. When finished with the recording, tap on "Done" on the upper right corner and then tap tweet!

The audio tweet will now play at the bottom of your screen. Twitter allows you to pause, play, and exit the voice tweet through the playback bar. The bar stays at the screen allowing you to play the recording while you scroll through Twitter.

What are Voice Tweets For?

Voice tweeting is a much more creative way to express your thoughts without typing it out manually that consumes way more time. Twitter gives you a limit of only 280 words while tweeting which is not enough for some people is. Voice tweets are also a great feature for people with visibility issues and blindness. The setback here is that people who are deaf and have hearing issues might not be able to listen to the voice tweets. Twitter being a user-friendly app that always comes up with solutions for its diverse users, might soon launch a solution for this as well.

More About Voice Tweets

If you have an IOS and you want to keep your voice tweets organized, you should be aware that these voice tweets will appear as attachments on your timeline. If you tap on anybody’s voice tweet, it will keep playing in the background while you browse through Twitter, and also, it will automatically keep moving to the next thread until you choose to pause it. Are you having trouble finding the audio playback option? Don’t worry, the audio playback icon is right at the bottom of your screen. Your voice tweets are publicly visible and playable to people by default but you can restrict your audio delivery to just your followers. "There’s a lot that can be left unsaid or uninterpreted using text, so we hope voice Tweeting will create a more human experience for listeners and storytellers alike," said Twitter in an official blog post.
