A guide on how to play with a Beyblade

Toys are available in all varieties, shapes, sizes and colours. They attract a lot of children and urge them to tell their parents to buy it. Every child would want to include unique and colourful toys in their collection so that they can show it to their friends. There are many of them inspired by games and cartoon shows. Some are a modern version of the traditional games adults played as children.

The craze for a Beyblade arose since the early 2000s when Japan manufactured them and introduced them worldwide. It is a spinning top with customisable and interchangeable parts. They took the world by storm in a short time and became a favourite for every child. It engages kids not only physically but also inspires them to think of innovative strategies to win the game. Here are three easy ways to play with it and entertain kids:

1. Learning the rules: The game requires two players spinning it in the game stadium where they launch their toys. The player earns one point when the opponent gets knocked out of the stadium or thrown outside the ring. They also earn an additional point if they stop their opponent’s toy from spinning. Players acquire two points if they burst their opponent during a battle. The player who gets seven points wins.
2. The four types: Beyblade toys are available in four varieties, namely Attack/Striker, Defense/Defender, Endurance/Stamina, and Combination/Balance. All players must know the strengths of their toys to win a battle. Children can also customise them by adding weight disks, attack rings, and ripcords of different sizes.
3. Getting ready for the battle: To finally launch the toy, put the ripcord into the launcher right inside the hole. Place the toy within the launcher and route gently to keep it locked. Have a solid grip on the Bey launcher using the left hand and hold it above the stadium with the bottom layer facing it. When the battle finally begins, pull the ripcord out of the launcher while holding the launcher firmly.

Many children also indulge and enjoy playing games such as Monopoly, where they learn to manage their fake money and expenditures while playing the real estate game. Here are some tips to help players win the game:

(i) Do not be a banker: When playing the game, avoid becoming the banker as there is no benefit as such. Mostly, there are only distractions which make a person lose their focus on the game. For winning at the game, stay quiet at the start when the banker’s decision comes up.

(ii) Show no mercy or fear: Avoid negative thoughts as the Monopoly game starts and play it fearlessly. Avoid boasting, especially when there is a good fortune on its way. If the opponent fails to collect the rent on their property, do not react. It helps maximise the chances of winning.

(iii) Play with the smallest token: Choose the pass logically and not emotionally for less rent payment and more savings.
