When looking for a mattress sale there are several things to consider before making your decision. The most important factor is not what you may think. It is not comfort or support or the feel but rather the ability of the mattress to provide you with quality sleep. The reason for this is that although we may feel the mattress is the right feel, it may be completely unsuitable for your body. When your body and mattress do not gel you will not be able to get a quality sleep.

Before we start looking at the best mattress for you, it is important to understand what the difference between quality and quantity of sleep. Sleep quantity was the old way of deciding if you had sufficient rest. This however is not the case anymore, the focus is more on quality sleep or the amount of unbroken sleep hours that you have achieved during the night.

The reason we look at quality sleep is that when we sleep, the body starts to recover and rejuvenate. Lots of hormones and nutrients are released into the body that help you recover and grow. When your sleep patterns are broken, the body stops producing the hormones and the process of rejuvenation is broken. This will leave you feeling tired and run down even after what you may consider a good nights sleep. That is why choosing the correct mattress is very important when looking at a mattress sale

So how does poor quality sleep happen? Poor quality sleep happens when your body is continuously trying to adjust to a poor sleep position. this can be caused by spinal position adjustment, pressure points on the body and poor respiratory environment. In brief what happens is that when your body is not feeling comfortable during sleep, it tries to correct the issue and that keeps it from achieving deep, quality sleep. Every time your body needs to turn, it interrupts the distribution of hormones as they are only distributed during a certain phases of sleep. These phases are only achieved when your mind can get into the REM phase of sleep.

So in closing the three most important aspects when looking at a mattress sale are –

Spinal alignment so that your body does not try and pull itself back into the correct position

No pressure point pain on the shoulders, hips and the likes

Hypoallergenic sleep surface keeps you from coughing and helps get the cleanest air in your lings

If you take these issues into account when buying your next mattress, you will be well on your way to getting the best rest possible.

An example of a spinal alignment issue is that If you have issues with lower back stiffness in the morning, it is likely that your mattress is either too soft or too hard. When it is too hard, the heavier parts will not be allowed to sink properly and the lower back muscles try to pull the spine back into its natural sleep position. This gives the muscles a workout during sleep and you wake up with a stiff lower back.

So take these factors into account when buying a new mattress. It will give you a bounce in your step
