Chainsaw Man might be the gut-ripping and most horrifying manga of 2020 after Attack On Titan, of course. Tatsuki Fujimoto has gone all out in producing the most gruesome manga and, after running for two years and 96 chapters of utter disgust and bloodbaths, the series is finally coming to an end.

In chapter 94 and chapter 95, Makima beats the chainsaw man with her army of devils, and as a last attempt to make Denji fight again, Makima cuts her hand and drops some blood into the mouth of Denji. Upon drinking the blood, Denji attacks Makima and cuts her head off but due to her god-like regeneration ability, beating makima is impossible for Denji. To defeat Denji once and for all, Makima crushes Denji’s chest and pulls out the devil to defeat the Chainsaw man once and all again.

Denji, however, plans on killing Makima in the most dreadful way possible. After killing Denji, Makima lights a cigarette and talks to Pochita as she finally defeats him after so many years. Denji comes from behind with a real chainsaw and cuts Makima’s body in half. While Makima sits there bleeding heavily, Denji explains that the chainsaw man she was fighting just now is just a reminiscent of Denji’s heart.

After learning about himself from Makima and how he was the biggest threat to humanity, Denji started learning about his abilities and how far he can go with his chainsaw man powers. In search of freedom and rightness, Denji’s decides to fight back and kill Makima at all cost because she possesses powers to control humanity and devils alike.

Makima gets confused about Denji and how he was able to hide between the other corpses. Finally, Denji gives Makima a quick brief about the situation as she won’t be able to regenerate her wounds as Denji’s chainsaw was the manifestation of Power’s blood. But as we have seen earlier, Makima was able to turn tables in every battle at the last moments.

Denji was already prepared for the next step and called Kishibe to the location. They take the wounded Makima back to Denji’s home, where Denji plans to eat Makima as his lunch.

According to Denji’s knowledge, there are no attacks that can physically hurt Makima as she was born invincible. To end the fight with Makima, Denji consults Kishibe about eating Makima to stop her regeneration powers. After discussing the plan with Kishibe, Denji eats Makima with Miso soup, ginger-fried meat, and onion.

Though Kishibe is skeptical about this plan as no one in history has ever defeated Makima, and if Denji fails this time, he might die without achieving anything in the end.

After cooking up Makima’s body parts in a pot, Denji laid the table, and before saying the famous Japanese term for eating’ itadakimasu,’ Denji finally confesses to Makima that he loves her from the bottom of his heart. After a tearful moment, Denji’s eats Makima like a regular meal in his apartment.

Conclusion

The series’s disgust level has reached its epitome at this rate where Denji is eating Makima like a late-night meal with no regrets on his face. While there is no way Makima can come back from this disgusting attempt from Denji, chances are she will join Denji’s body and gain control over him over time. Due to her ability to control devils and humans, she might try her hand, stemming Denji from inside his body.
