Patty Jenkins Wants Batman and Superman to Join Wonder Woman in the Third Film

Patty Jenkins returned as a director with her 2017 film Wonder Woman, and we have to agree that she did make a spectacular comeback. Even though she has already made a second part of the movie, which is about to be released on HBO Max and theaters, she is in no mood to rest.

Jenkins has already confirmed that she will soon start working on the third Wonder Woman film soon. Not only that, she has even mentioned the fact that she already has clear cut ideas of what the third film might entail. Gal Gadot enjoys playing Wonder Woman to be returning for the third film; however, what is interesting is that Jenkins is looking to include some power-packed cameos.

Courtesy of the report shared by We Got This Covered, we have come to know that Patty Jenkins has big ambitions of including Batman and Superman in the third installment. Yes, indeed. Now, Patty Jenkins wants to make the universe of Wonder Woman much more interesting. She is in all mood to establish a crossover between three high profile characters from DC. DC fans would love to see that, and they are already speculating about the movie. Daniel Richtman has agreed with the speculations and has thrown in his opinions as well.

However, many things need to be done before we can talk about having Batman and Superman in the film, and as of now, there is no confirmation on why she wants those characters. What is confirmed right now is that the third Wonder Woman film will be the final time Patty Jenkins wears the director's hat for Wonder Woman. As per the report, as mentioned earlier, she demands Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck to reprise their DCEU characters.

If that happens, you can imagine that DCEU has been fixed and up and running. And before leaving, Jenkins would gift the studio and the fans something they had all wished for, of course, apart from giving a highest-grossing female-directed film in 2017.

Gal Gadot will also be seen in the re-adaptation of the 2017 film "Justice League" by Zack Snyder. As you might have already heard, Snyder had to leave the film mid-way due to his daughter's tragic death. Now, he has returned to finish what he had started. He will reshoot some of the scenes and re-edit the entire story. "Zack Snyder's Justice League" will arrive on HBO Max on September the 5th, 2021.

DC Studios is looking to rebuild itself after the debacle of the 2017 film, which even forced some actors to reconsider their affiliation with the studio. The release of films like the 2018 blockbuster Aquaman and the 2019 film Shazam has put the studio's favor momentum. Now, Wonder Woman will add further to that.

You can watch Wonder Woman 1984 in theaters and on HBO Max on December the 25th, 2020.
