Deciding upon getting a stainless steel modular kitchen and adorning it with stainless steel kitchenware can be a long and price business. However, stainless steel cookware comes packed with benefits. For starters, no hazardous products are included in the final product, easy to sanitise and doesn’t corrode easily. Gleaming, lustrous stainless steel kitchenware is Extremely pleasing to the eyes, but it requires the right attention and care. Stainless steel kitchenware is sturdy, durable and stunning. When compared to other materials such as aluminum, steel needs to be looked after.

Here are a few handy tips on looking after stainless steel kitchenware,

Gradually Increase the Heat: Stainless steel should never be placed directly on a high flame. Doing this would decrease the lifespan of the cookware and will result in a tint of rainbow-like colors. Although the tint can be removed easily with undiluted vinegar, easily found in a kitchen, it is recommended to increase the intensity of the flame gradually so that the surface is heated up evenly.

Gentle Cleaning: When done using, stainless steel utensils should be cleaned with a mild soap until there is no residue of oil or food particles left. Since the surface is smooth, a cleaning cloth of mild fabric that won’t result in scratches on the surface is recommended. Many people use a carbon steel tool to get rid of residue stuck on the walls of the utensils. This may be easier in the short run, but in the long run, it can result in contamination of stainless steel with iron particles which would ultimately result in rust. It is imperative to dry out the cookware as the water might also be induced with chemicals.

Maintain Shine: Over a certain period of time, the shine of stainless steel decreases no matter what. This can be solved with a mixture of basic ingredients found in a kitchen. Simply make a solution of baking soda and water and scrub the surface of the kitchenware with a soft fabric. To seal the deal, wipe it off with diluted vinegar and your stainless steel cookware will look as good as new.

Remove Food Bits: The major reason why food sticks to pans and pots is because it is frozen and directly poured into it. For this, scrub the stainless steel container with a scrub which is non abrasive to remove bits of food as good as you can. Once this is done, fill it up with a mixture of water, mild soap and let it heat it up a little. Remember to use a wooden spatula to avoid tension between the surfaces. The final step is to dry the stainless steel immediately.

Industrial Cleaners: While some prefer to opt for home remedies for cleaning stainless steel, it's not a hard and fast rule to follow them. There are various industrial cleaners available to keep your stainless steel kitchenware clean and shiny for years.
