With the advancement of computers and the Internet, article reading has become one of the major hobbies of many millennial men and women. There are actually hundreds and thousands of websites and each of them offers excellent articles on a variety of different topics. A well-written article is not only engaging and informative but it helps to cultivate the thought process in a major way.

With all that being said, one would assume that article reading is enough and book reading may not be required. Even though it is true that readers are different and some people would normally be inclined to read articles since they feel that they have less time to devote to a book. It is generally accepted that reading a book is definitely a lot better than reading an article. Let us see why this is so.

An article can cover a specific topic and explore it lightly so that the readers can have the information they need quickly and concisely. Therefore an article can help people to grasp certain core points about a subject matter in a short span of time. In this way, we can say that a well-written article can certainly be a valuable reading experience.

However, reading a book goes much deeper than that. Since an article has the limitation of making the topic understood in a short span of time with very limited length of the content, it cannot do justice to many concepts that are more complicated and knowledgeable. There is no time to explore ideas with a rich depth of concepts as that would not be possible in the article word limit which is just a page or two. On the other hand, the whole idea of reading a book is all about the indepth knowledge and exposure that it can provide.

Whether you are reading a work of fiction or nonfiction, a book is all about providing you with a rich and indepth experience that you may not immediately understand by reading just two pages. However, by the time you read a full book, you will have gone on a journey into the thoughts and intricacies of the subject. You will see the world through the perspective of the author and it is going to make you a changed individual.

Whether you realize this immediately or not, every book that you read is going to have a profound impact on you and is going to change you from within on a more or less permanent basis. It is for this reason that reading a book is considered to be a much more powerful experience than reading an article can ever be.

Books can be extremely powerful and bring a transformation in thought process, in a way that articles can never really hope to do. The rich inner experience that you can have with books can not only help you to cultivate your imagination and language skills but also enable you to cultivate new thoughts or think in a better way. Therefore when you choose to read one books, you get to become more empowered from within.
