300 Startups

Anchored with support from the government of Tamil Nadu and an MOU between Agni College Of Technology (ACT) and Electronic Corporation Of Tamil Nadu (ELCOT), 300 Startups is an inspiring and entrepreneurial initiative to help engineering college students launch, run and make their startups profitable in a span of 18 months. The product or service devised by them gets absorbed into various departments of the government. An ardent supporter of women entrepreneurship, Agni Foundation endeavours to give due impetus to women-led businesses and make them believe in the power of ‘I Can.’ Concludes Agni, "The challenges faced by women in starting and running a business are manifold. Largely under-represented as business owners in traditional media and society at large, their contribution to the economy is vast. Right from social stigma to skill development, funding to expansion, I hope to empower each one of them and have them realise their infinite potential. We need them to act on their ambition and provide them the means to do so. The change has to come from within
