Safety for Agricultural Machinery

There has been a dramatic increase in the number of engines, tractors, and various types of farm equipment. In many cases, farm equipment is based on imported designs and modified according to a well-known engineering method. It is considered that the safety features of the world's leading farm movers and equipment are quite unsatisfactory. As a result, a large number of human accidents occur every year and are on the rise. Among the farm machinery that is most dangerous in the world are husk cutters, tractors, sprayers, threshers, cutters, etc. Safety is a factor, compiled under the control of Ergonomics and is a problem for farm equipment designer, producer, distributor, user, government, social, and national standards organization. Each of these structures can play an important role in reducing the number of accidents and promoting safety.

A designer can provide a variety of safety devices, such as guards, shields, safe distances, and unsafe routes. The manufacturer, in turn, can ensure that it adheres to the existing standards and uses safe and sound building materials. Accordingly, the operator and user must promote the safety of farm equipment by ensuring that they distribute and use only such equipment with appropriate safety features. Hence, the country’s standards body has an important role to play in building appropriate safety standards, codes, and testing

procedures.

Modern farmers used a variety of machinery to do farm work that required backyard work. Modern equipment is extremely special and is designed to perform a wide range of tasks. However, these machinery systems share many of the same dangers that severely damage and kill hundreds of farmworkers each year. Shear points are present when the edges of the two objects move forward or close to each other close enough to cut the soft material.

Cutting points occur when one object moves too fast or fast enough to cut. They are available in a variety of crop trimming machines, such as hay harvesters, scissors bars, and auger augers. Shaving and cutting areas are dangerous because of their cutting ability. They tend to move very fast so that they cannot be seen when they are moving. The rotation of the machine is a potential folding point. Excessive exit limits can also be a place to wrap. A break, an arm, a leg, or hair can get caught in the rotating part and can lead to serious injuries and death. Being trapped by a folding point can pull a person into the machine or tightly wrap his clothes around the person being choked. Contact with the folding point can cause a person to lose balance and fall into other parts of the machine.

The heavy-duty part will continue to rotate for a long time after the power is turned off. Rotary blower blades, flywheels, and a variety of other farm equipment will continue to move after a power outage. Workers must allow time for these wheels or blades to stop before going to them. Pull-in points often occur when someone tries to remove or force the plant material or other objects stuck in the roll feed or other parts of the equipment. Most pull injuries include circular piercing.

Hydraulic pipes and cylinders provide powerlifting tools such as plows and loading arms, shift positioning tools such as connecting headers and scraper blades, and the use of compression motors in tractor steering systems and brakes. Hydraulic systems also have great potential that can cause serious injury and death. Fountains are often used to lift equipment, to provide coverage and to withstand heavy machinery operating in rough terrain, and to keep tight belts on the pools. The springs have the potential to, when released, be dangerous to onlookers. Typical safety suggestions while working withagricultural equipment design machinery include:

  • Read and follow the manufacturer's instructions for working.
  • Do not remove or change security features.
  • Make sure everyone on the farm knows the operating procedures and safety

requirements for any machine they use.

  • If necessary, replace and match the guards to cover the moving parts of the

equipment.

  • Make sure the tractors are properly sorted or rated for specific uses.
  • Install collapse protection structures in the final load.
  • Keep a well-stocked first-aid kit.
  • Always wear appropriate protective and visible clothing.

An emergency plan is very essential for an agriculture field. It must include:

  • Ensure easy access to a suitable and versatile first aid kit.
  • Make sure that at least one person on the farm is trained in first aid.
  • Keep emergency numbers and addresses right next to the phone.
  • Plan routes to the nearest hospital - make sure they have an emergency department

in place.

  • Talk about your emergency plan with your family and other employees.
  • Make sure other people understand what to do in an emergency.
