How do the concepts of midpoint and rounding differ with each other?

Midpoint and rounding are two essential terms in mathematics that are used in a broad range and both are different from each other. Before pointing out the differences, first, understand the basic concepts of both terms.
What is the midpoint?
This term is specifically used for geometric calculations. When we draw a line segment the middle point indicates the midpoint. The midpoint is always equidistant from both endpoints.
It is a centroid which cuts the line segment in two equal parts. We came across this in our daily life too. Pizza is one of the most selling fast food products across the world. When a fresh pizza came from the oven. Its midpoint is observed and cut into equal parts depending on the size of the pizza. Hence each piece carries the same size and same midpoint.
The midpoint of a line segment is related to the average formula. How?
While calculating the average of two, we take the sum of values and divide it over two. Similarly, in the case of a vertical or horizontal line segment, the midpoint can be achieved by dividing the length of the line by two. And calculate the final value from one of the endpoints.
Calculation of midpoint at the coordinate plane
The calculation of midpoint in a coordinate plane is carried while solving the geometric questions.
In a coordinate plane, we have two axes vertical(y) and horizontal(x). We will count the midpoint of the plane by using this formula:
(Xy, Yx) = (x1+x2 / 2, y1+y2 / 2)

Let’s take an example, suppose a survey is conducted in your area to calculate the total number of people living in a specific area of a city. The result shows 18,965 residents. Now this calculation can be rounded up to 19,000. It will simplify further calculations.

What is rounding up?
In rounding up of decimal numbers, we add the number by 1 if the next digit is 5 or greater than 5.
For example:
The value 34.557 can be rounded up to 34.6
The value 234.67 can be rounded up to 234.7
The value 345.754 can be rounded up to 345.8.
The common factor in the above examples is the number after the decimal point is 5 or greater than 5.
What is rounding down?
In rounding down decimal numbers, we neither increase the number nor decrease but we leave the number as it is "IF" the next digit is less than 5.
For example:
The value 375.214 can be rounded down to 375.2
The value 85.25 can be rounded down to 85.2.

What is the difference between the two terms?
