The Most Different Uses of Storage Boxes
Posted: Mar 12, 2021
There is a wide range of various storage boxes on the market today, largely made of plastics, and with the capacity to contain and carry goods of all sizes. Many of these boxes are provided with a number of inserts such that they can be used to hold objects apart from each other, or even lined in columns.
Certainly, there is a lot of use in the outside catering industry. Caterers who serve outdoor activities or maybe something like conference halls need to move a lot of glassware, chinaware, and cutlery to and from events, and they need to get them back and forth without any disruption. Okay, maybe the cutlery isn't going to suffer harm, but the china and the glassware Reverse Tuck End Boxes will surely do it.
Of course, there are various sizes of pots, cups, saucers, bottles, and so on, and this is one industry that uses a number of different sizes of inserts. For example, wine glasses, champagne flutes, brandy glasses, pint and half pint beer glasses, whisky glasses and more may be seen at one event.
It is ideal to use standard containers and there are two standard pallet sizes available-the Euro pallet which is 1200mm x 800mm and the UK pallet which is 1200mm x 1000mm. Storage boxes are frequently made in Euro sizes of 600mm x 400mm, meaning they fall into columns of four on the Euro pallet and five on the UK pallet. There are also half-size, quarter-size and double-size Euro containers available, all of which fit into a combination of pallet shapes. In addition, wheeled dollies are built to the scale of the euro and assist, of course, with the simple moving of containers around, for example, the factory.
Some producers, such as the well-known Austrian company Fries, offer storage containers in a variety of colors, so that the contents can be quickly recognized. You can also apply plastic tags or written stickers, but labels have the downside that they can leave sticky residues when peeled off.
There are many containers with smooth sides, but there are also containers with curved sides. This means that when they are empty, they will nest in each other and save about 70% of the storage or transport capacity. Flat-sided containers are suitable for shipping food products such as fresh seafood to or from the fish market, and once empty, they are very easy to clean. Other bins have ventilated surfaces for a whole range of uses. Going back to the catering industry, containers with ventilated sides are used a lot, so bottles, plates and so on cannot only be shipped and packed in them, but can also be put on a conveyor in a dishwasher. This limits handling to an absolute minimal and thus reduces the chance of breakage.
In reality, the use of ventilated containers has become such a science, with manufacturers like Fries focusing on having containers that are optimally cleaned and dry. They need to be built in such a manner that the water will clear such items as a lipstick from the glass rims. Ventilated containers are often used in many sectors so it is easy to see if they are empty or packed, and whether they are full, what they contain.
Euro containers can be used for all kinds of enterprises. Manufacturers of small components will use part storage boxes with inserts designed to prevent each component from rubbing against each other during shipment and possibly scratching each other. Companies such as Fries also manufacture components storage boxes with plastic extenders that can be used to change the height of the box in order to allow varying heights of products such as glassware to be re-engineered.
All these different glasses come not only in different widths, but also in different heights, so that the containers can be calibrated for height and have different inserts for different widths. For use with dishwashers, some of the Custom Essential Oil Boxes can be fitted with clips that allow the glassware to lay at an angle such that, when cleaned, the water can run rapidly and efficiently from the base of the glass, saving on drying time before transport.
