NEBOSH General Certificate: The General NEBOSH Certificate has acquired a great reputation for helping health and safety supervisors to fulfil their job roles. These courses have become internationally respected, and they have set a benchmark for many sectors with regards to identifying and controlling hazards. However, some have argued that the General NEBOSH Certificate is not specific enough for some sectors.

Importance of NEBOSH Construction Certificate:

As a result, NEBOSH now provides a specialist certificate to train candidates in all the skills they require to supervise health & safety standards in construction sector. The NEBOSH Construction Certificate targets Site Supervisors, managers, and CDM coordinators who have construction jobs, and who have to ensure that every activity they supervise is carried out in a safe way. Also, this certificate will suit Facility Supervisors, who have to ensure that the people who work for them are remaining compliant with recognized health and safety procedures. Furthermore, this award will be helpful for candidates who work in utilities, like gas, electric and water providers. More about NEBOSH Construction certificate:

The NEBOSH international Certificate covers a wide range of hazards located on a construction site, and teaches effective techniques for controlling them. The course informs students about the laws relating to the construction sector, along with broader health and safety requirements. What are modules which are required in NEBSOH construction Certificate:

As with the General NEBOSH Certificate, the NEBOSH Construction Certificate consists of three modules, which are marked separately. For people who do not already have the General qualification, NGC1 will be the 1st module they sit. This is a classroom based module which addresses the general supervision of health and safety procedures. NCC1 is the following module, and this teaches students how to recognize hazards unique to the construction industry, and what the best methods are for controlling them. This is a classroom based module as well, and it is assessed with an exam. The last module is the NCC2, where students are graded based on their submission of a workplace hazard risk assessment.

What is total duration for completing construction certificate:

Usually, the course (with the NGC1 part included) takes two weeks to finish. Nonetheless, students who have completed this module already are granted an exemption. If you have the NGC1 qualification, before you start the NCC1 and NCC2, the course will only last for nine days.
