"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that."

-Martin Luther King, Jr.

We have heard many catchphrases based on the theme of lights. One of the most striking features of light is that it is absolute. It is one of the key elements that we cannot do without in our day-to-day routines. Be it the rays of the sun or electricity through various mediums giving us light. The world would’ve been a different place had it been not there.

Lights have been there since the very beginning of time. Only the form of illumination has changed from natural to man-made. Light has had a major share in the advancement of the human race through history. From the burning embers of a campfire to the white glow of the smartphone, light continues to be the element that keeps on turning the wheel of civilisation. The utility offered by light is humongous, and with modernisation, it keeps on increasing.

Advent of LEDs

For their work on blue light-emitting diodes, LEDs as they are widely called, the Nobel Prize in Physics was given to Isamu Akasaki, Hiroshi Amano, and Shuji Nakamura in 2014. This shows the degree to which lighting technology has evolved over the past four decades. Researchers have introduced many new, more powerful light sources since the energy crisis of the 1970s, but now they are all being replaced. An LED is a cost-effective and highly efficient medium that emits light made possible by nanotechnology. An LED Tube Light is among the most common and flexible lighting solutions available today. They are particularly suitable for applications and installations where the goal is to achieve a versatile range of sleek, clean-looking indoor lighting in rooms and displays of all sizes.

Today there are many companies that specialise in manufacturing LED lights to cater to every kind of need as far as lighting is concerned. Manufacturing is supported by ultra-modern technology which is constantly improving as the demand among the masses takes shape. The industry in India is also supported by the Indian Government by providing subsidies to phase out the usage of filament or incandescent bulbs. The fact that LED Bulbs have a longer lifespan and higher electrical efficiency, makes them a better choice over the existing incandescent lamps.

Benefits of LED lights

LED lights are the answer to a bright and enlightened future. Not only are they pocket-friendly but environmentally friendly and much brighter than incandescent lights. LED is a highly energy-efficient lighting technology and can fundamentally change the future of lighting the world. It uses at least 75% less energy and lasts 25 times longer than incandescent lighting. The high initial cost per bulb is one downside of LEDs, but LEDs pay for themselves over time through energy savings and an extremely long lifespan. In terms of white light hue, bulbs from different manufacturers can appear noticeably different, so picking a constantly improving and innovative brand is important.

Solutions provided by LED lights

LED lights provide a list of solutions, and each of the products available in the market today has been extensively researched upon and developed to give the best performance. LEDs today provide indoor lighting solutions, retail solutions, outdoor and road setups, industrial, office, and hospitality setups. The competing companies in the market provide a certain range to the buyers giving them choice in their products and pricing. Where the products designated for outdoor and road setups are bright, long-lasting and efficient with the sole purpose of providing high-intensity illumination for a long time. When we come to indoor home solutions, there are strip lights, ceiling lights, and LED lamps that provide diffused light to prevent eyes from glare. The hospitality LED lights provide a calming and serene glow to accentuate the beauty of the property, and all the LED lights have a good Colour Rendering Index which makes sure that colours seen under these lights look the same as seen under sunlight
