Staying in shape doesn’t always mean a gym workout alone. Choosing the right innerwear and outfits have a great influence in determining your shape and fitness at present and in future. Especially, dressing up yourself in misfitting bras can make your breast sag and loose shape. And, selecting bras with right fit and size can be a daunting task for women with small chest size.

Here are a few tips to help you find the right bra for small chest size:

1. A good support helps in the long-term

The general belief is that A and B cup-sized bras are almost flat and too small to need any support at all. But, the fact is they also do need proper support similar to bigger cup sizes to hold breasts fittingly, the snug fit to be precise. Maybe ill-fitted small sized bras isn’t serious enough to get you into back pain but without proper support, they can lead to sagging over a period of time.

2. Well-fitting band makes all the difference

Take care in checking the firmness of the band rather than that of the straps for a perfect fit. It is in the band that the entire weight of your breasts rest and that makes your bra’s band elasticity and firmness highly crucial. So, how do you know if you’re bra’s band is right for you? By the rule of thumb, the loosest hook of your band should firmly fit you such that the band rests level on your back. Later, you can adjust to the tighter hooks when the band stretches out.

Better still to try different bras that best fit you and raise your hands high above your head. You’ll get to know if you feel comfortable while shifting positions.

3. Change is inevitable in cup sizes

Now to the most tough part of choosing the right bras. Mostly, the cup sizes vary to a certain extent from brand to brand. For example, 30A is one of the most hard to find cup size in the market as many brands rarely include it in their product line. And at times, our body shape keeps changing due to several health and lifestyle reasons. So, you need to try and make sure of your choices every time you shop for bras.

4. Padded bra isn’t the only answer

In early teens, girls resort to padded bras for a more complete look. But, padded bras are only a choice and not a necessity for women with small chest sizes. And, once you grow older you tend to feel uncomfortable wearing them with your casuals. Ultimately, your comfort factor decides whether you should opt for padded bras or not.

Finally, all that matters is your comfort level when choosing the right bra. A little too tight or loose bras can give you a very bad shape when worn for a longer time. It’s good to keep at least 7 to 10 bras, especially for those who are in need of rare small-cup sizes
