Explore the New Trending Casio and Timex Watches
Posted: Sep 24, 2014
The watch you wear says a lot about you. Much like when people say you are what you eat and other cliché statements right up in that alley. A good watch is something that you can keep for life and unlike other material things that serve as great status symbols. A wrist watches value does not drop as soon as you use it. In fact, the more they age, the more classic they get and the more value they accrue as collectibles. World-famous watch brands are great to collect and own and a lot of men go crazy over them. Casio and Timex are two of the most sought-after brands of timepieces and here are some reasons:
An all-American Brand, Timex was founded in the 19th century in Waterbury, Connecticut. Today however, most of its movements are being made in Asia, but the brand was a true leader and game changer in American horology. As such, it still garners great respect in the world of high-end timepieces. With its association with J.Crew and the use of innovative, military-inspired designs, the brand is back to being hip, especially its Originals Collection. If you want the prestige of a historical brand without having to spend too much on a basic timepiece, Timex is a great brand to start with.
However, if you are into the classics, Casio is the perfect brand to look into. Pathfinder and G-Shock are only two of the brand's most famous lines, worn by active men who are out and about or those who love adventure. While the brand is also known for its elegant timepieces, these lines get much attention because of their casual look and "go anywhere" vibe. Casio's G-Shock line is as good as it gets if you are into digital timepieces. The first G-Shock units came out in the early 80's. Today however, Casio G-Shock is a huge cultural phenomenon worn by celebrities and well-dressed individuals alike.
When you are in the market for good timepieces, find an online retailer that offers a good selection of watches from your favorite brands. Other great watch brands to look for include Seiko, Fossil, and Nautica.
