The best way to tackle any situation effectively is by clear definition of terms and understanding of forms and functions (apply this during an argument – works like a charm!).

You must know or have heard of people accessing web proxies such as unblocked Facebook proxy or unblock Twitter proxy to work around the blocks and filters in their networks. In fact, with regard to unblocked proxy US residents have a lot of options for sites offering the service.

While all that sounds very cool, you can admit if you have no clue what it means or how they went around the filters and blocks as you are among friends here. I mean, you understand that now users can access Facebook and Twitter where they once could not but you do not understand why they just couldn’t in the first place and more importantly, what is this proxy thing?

So let’s get right to it. What is a proxy? Simply put a proxy is the ‘middle-man’ between you and the server that your device is connected to. These proxies are even referred to as intermediaries because they function as such: you and the server can only communicate only through the proxy. Proxies can be hardware or software that works on your requests and at times the responses you can receive.

The term ‘proxy’ is often mentioned in anonymous Web surfing as they enable access to blocked sites through proxies such as unblock Twitter proxy and the unblocked Facebook proxy, but I’m getting ahead of myself. Let us first look at the kind of proxies that are out there and what they can do:

Forward proxies

You are probably engaged with a forward proxy directly or indirectly at one time or other. A forward proxy is set between two networks: a private internal one and the public Internet. They are preferred by large ISPs (Internet Service Providers) as a buffer between their subscribers and the Internet.

They mainly focus on filtering web content and caching services and for that they need constant authentication and authorization. That is how come you get that 404 error message.

Web content filtering allows or rejects requests for certain kinds of content based on the content type or the site. Something like the parental block you can put for your computer at home. You can work around this using an unblock Twitter proxy that function by redirection, which we will talk about below.

Reverse proxies

These include application delivery controllers and caches. Reverse proxies, process requests for content or applications coming from the Internet to the private network. So while the forward proxy handles data coming to you, the reverse proxy handles data coming from you.

One of the major functions of a reverse proxy is redirection, where a browser is re-routed to another source in the event of a failed login to a particular page. In the case of an unblocked Facebook proxy, the block on the content is by-passed by redirecting the browser around the filter to the requested website. This may require particular software or just a simple manipulation of settings.

As earlier mentioned, this is just basic understanding of what an unblocked Facebook proxy and an unblock Twitter proxy are and do. You can find out more about this on various unblocked proxy US sites.
