Posted: Apr 10, 2021
Your wedding day is going to be one of the happiest day of your life. With so much going on, you want to be able to look back on this memorable occasion and recall the moments and memories from your big day. Wedding photographs are a traditional part of the wedding day, but they continue to provide a fantastic addition to a wedding occasion. Whether they are for the bride and groom to look back on with warmth and affection, or for friends and loved ones to cherish their part in a very special occasion, high quality wedding photographs will ensure that the day is looked back on fondly for many years to come.
I have been a full time and professional photographer for 30 years, and in these three decades I have been privileged to be part of many wedding ceremonies from the most intimate to the grandest of weddings set in the most beautiful surroundings.
Based near Loch Lomond, I provide most of my wedding photography in Glasgow and Argyll, but I am very happy to travel to ensure you get the best pictures of your happy day. Please feel free to contact me for more details or to discuss the logistics of me providing photography services on your wedding day.
Wedding photographs that match your mood and personalityEvery couple has their own personality and charm, which I aim to bring into the style of photographs. Whether you are looking for a classical and traditional set of wedding photographs, contemporary portraits or even a documentary style of wedding day images, I am more than happy to cater to your wants and needs.
As a wedding photographer, I am pleased to say that I am comfortable with all weddings of all sizes and I aim to ensure that everyone is relaxed. Although wedding photographs are an integral part of the happy occasion, it is understandable that many in the wedding party would prefer these shots to be concluded as quickly as possible. I aim to deliver a stunning range of shots at your wedding venue without distracting from the happy day of the bride and groom.
Couples and family portrait work is also availableI also provide portrait photographs for individuals, couples and families in Glasgow or Loch Lomond. I do not use a studio for my portrait work but there are many beautiful outdoor settings in these areas of Scotland. I am very comfortable with outdoor photography but I can also come to your home and take photographs of your family in their natural setting. Many parents find this to be more comfortable and relaxing for their children. I am more than happy to meet the requests of all of my customers, so no matter where you would prefer to be photographed, please let me know.
Wherever possible, I aim to shoot in natural light as I believe this offers the best opportunity to capture the mood and the nature of the special occasion.
I am very proud to say that I have received countless positive testimonials from previous clients, which are available on my website. When you hire Ian Arthur, you hire a wedding and portrait photographer with more than 30 years’ worth of experience and whatever style of photography you are looking for to make your special occasion, you will find it here.
