Most people dream of owning a house that is not only financially beneficial but also aesthetically pleasing. Even if you have a limited budget, you can still build a house that is perfect for your aesthetic and practical needs.

Hindu tradition has several principles of design that are commonly incorporated in Hindu homes. Shubh Sanket Vastu the Vastu Consultant in Thane has brought to you some of the important tips which will help you to incorporate them into your home design.

Planting for beauty

The front of the house should be dominated by flowering plants. The name given to these plants can be a reflection of their flowers. Flowering plants provide a soft green glow to the house.

Soil for health

To enhance the health of the home soil, the Hindu traditions also suggest planting, like, kachina, sukhanda, and so on. There are many variations in this aspect and you can bring the characteristics of the soil into your home by making certain amendments.

Circles of light

Porcelain pipes are normally found in the areas where the sunlight enters, like in the kitchen, bedroom, or dining area. Placing a mirror in the corner of the dining room will increase its impact.

Use of black and white

Ensure that the main color used in your house is white and there are minimal pieces of colored glass that are used.

Use of lacquered doors

It is known as "haibyasheel" (double-mangals) which is an old custom of design of the house. They are used to catch the sunlight, providing a look of wood.

Transparent windows

Avoid shutters, as it stops direct sunlight. Also, choose shutters that are transparent to provide privacy to the inner rooms.

Wall art

Named as ‘dudhsadha saksham’ (twin sages art), the basic idea is to see the Rupa around the house. This method makes sure that light plays a major role in decorating the outer part of the house.

Wall block

Block moldings or kotha works are one of the many ways to decorate the walls. Generally, old fortis has this feature. Try to match the colors of the block moldings and wall.

From auspiciousness of the month to religious purpose, the home is supposed to be aligned to the way the Hindu religion respects life and all living beings. All these types of vibrations will be emitted by the utensils and other objects and by the Hindu design. So, take care of the food and your words if you want the home to be clean and light.

A comfortable place

To make the home comfortable, all the rooms need proper ventilation and it is advised that you should only cook in the rooms. So, take care of the noise pollution. The noise of a conversation could disturb someone in the room next to you, so choose a space where you can hear others’ voices.

Craftsmanship

Ensure that the utensils used are handmade. A table, cupboard, or any other object should be made with the same material. This should have been the reason for its creation. It will ensure that the home is not spoilt with waste and pollution.

Equality

The central idea of the universe is that people are equal. So, it is suggested to choose the same pattern in the decoration for all the rooms, just like a big family.

Vibrational field

Avoid radiators and move the furniture to the outer side of the house. If you do use a radiator, then you can put some incense sticks and flower petals near it, so that the molecules around it turn into positive energy.

Balance the energy

Ensure that the positive and negative energy is in balance. Having negative energy in your home will attract sickness and even disease.
