Processing of food happens everywhere. May it be for our staple food or for the junk, food processing takes place every now and then. We have always processed our food to make it eatable. Cutting, chopping, soaking, cooking, fermenting and grinding as well as drying of food are the types of processing that happens in every kitchen. So the next time someone asks you whether you eat processed food, your answer should be yes. Because everything you eat is processed in a way. Therefore the need of the food scientists and technologists has become essential to live a healthy life. If there are no scientists for the supervision of new food products in the UK, our future is not as bright as it may seem to many of us. Having food scientists that can keep an eye on what is happening in the processed food industry has become the need of the hour. And why not, when the level of processed food is being degraded with low quality of products then supervision is the only way out for sustainable development and healthy living.

Food scientists in the UK are basically the bad boys of food. They make sure that the unnatural food is not unnatural anymore. This is done by keeping a check on the products used while processing of food. They are one of those ‘in demand’ people that help a lot in keeping the society fit and healthy by making sure that the food consumed is right.
