Aviation is one of the fastest-growing and attractive industries not only in India but also in the whole world. Many young aspirants dream of joining the Aviation Industry due to the lucrative salary and glamour associated with it. BBA in Aviation is a popular program that deals with the study of airports, business, airlines, and every aspect of the aviation Industry.

BBA in Aviation is a three-year undergraduate course that gives an in-depth knowledge of airport operations, passenger forecasting, financial accounting, air transport, and many more. This course helps in developing managerial skills required to run the aviation Industry. BBA in Aviation program suits the candidates who can handle airline customers with logical reasoning skills, excellent communication skills, and a pleasant personality. Young aspirants after completing this course land in jobs like Airport Manager, Cargo Manager, Ground Staff Manager, Customer Care Executive, etc. Students can enroll themselves for this program in Government Aviation Colleges as well as private colleges and institutions all over India. Most of the colleges offering BBA in Aviation Management select students based upon their scores in the 10+2 examination(a minimum of 50% is required) but some colleges and institutes conduct Entrance Examination and select aspirants based on their performance in the Entrance Exam.

In this article, I am going to discuss the Syllabus of the BBA in Aviation Management so that the aspirants could gain a clear idea about what they are going to study all about in the next three years of their student life. This course is split into six semesters and has a comprehensive syllabus that covers all administrative and business aspects of aviation management like accounting, organization, management, etc.

Now, let’s have a look at the syllabus of BBA in Aviation according to semester wise:

Semester 1: Language 1, English 1, Introduction to Aviation Industry, Introduction to Business Accounting, Business Mathematics, Business Computing, Community Services Management(1) and Leadership, Business Communication 1, environmental studies

Semester 2: Organizational behavior, Business Statistics, Value Education- Human Rights, English II, Community Service II, Business Statistics

Semester 3: Business Communication, Airport Functions of Airlines, Business Economics (II), Marketing Management, Financial Management, Research Methodology, and Report Writing, Open Elective 1

Semester 4: Cargo Handling, Consumer behavior, and Market Research, Business communication II, Program Elective 1, Open Elective II

Semester 5: Aviation Law, Understanding of Aviation Business, Air Transportation Safety and security, Essential of Strategic Management, International Business, Industry Tour Report, Program Elective 1, Program Elective II

Semester 6: Aviation Marketing, Airport Strategic Planning, Airport Customer Services, Human Resource Management, Logistics, Behavior Cargo Management.

Some of the "elective subjects" which the candidates can choose from are Aviation Security Awareness, Basic Ramp Safety, Crew Resource Management, Services Marketing, Air Traffic Control, Customer Relationship Management etc.
