The Aviation Industry is one of the most popular industries globally. Young Aspirants dream of joining this sector due to a very good pay scale and they can start their career at a very young age which will provide them with ample time to build a shining career in the Aviation Sector.

Today I am going to discuss the duties and responsibilities of an Aviation Manager so that aspirants get a clear picture of the overall responsibilities of this position and can prepare themselves accordingly. First, let’s discuss in short what are the educational requirements and other criteria to be fulfilled to be deemed suitable for the position of Aviation Manager. An Aviation Manager must have a Bachelor’s degree in airport management or other equivalent degree and should have 4+ years of experience in the field of Aviation or related industry. They must possess a good knowledge about the standard rules and regulations of the Aviation industry, good communication skills both oral and written, managerial skills, supervisory skills, budgeting skills, should be a team leader leading the team from the front, trustworthy, honest, and reliable.
Now let’s discuss the various duties and responsibilities of an aviation manager:
An Aviation Manager is responsible for the selection, training, and assignment of staff to ensure equal employment opportunities in hiring and promotions
It is the Aviation Manager who supervises and coordinates all day-to-day activities of the aviation department such as work assignments, scheduling, and looking after the smooth functioning of the departments.
He /she evaluates and verifies employee performance through thorough reviews of completed work assignments and techniques and identifies training needs of aviation personnel.
An Aviation Manager also supervises the working condition of the employees and assures that that the aviation departments confer with federal, state, and local government laws;
The Aviation Manager must maintain records and reports related to the aviation department
Last but not least he/ she can also provide advisory service to governing bodies if necessary, reviewing aircraft accident reports and addressing the problems related to them, and also determining aviation safety and enforcement needs.
The above mentioned are some of the important responsibilities of an Aviation Manager.
