The uncapped former Welsh U20 Gareth Thomas was named along with Ospreys' loose props Rhodri Jones and Nicky Smith. The experienced trio of Leon Brown, Thomas Francis, and Dillon Lewis was called cold-blooded people.

Elliot Dee, Ryan Elias, and Sam Parry, who made their Autumn Nations Cup debuts, are listed as the three hookers on the team.

Adam Beard, Cory Hill and Will Rowlands are all members of the Welsh Six Nations team and are referred to as the second row along with the uncovered Dragon Ben Carter.

James Botham, Josh Navidi, and Aaron Wainwright, as well as returning from injury Ross Moriarty will be selected along with Josh Turnbull, the latter who last represented Wales in Argentina in 2018, and the Dragons' back row, Taine Basham previously in Wales.

Kieran Hardy and Tomos Williams both played in Welsh Six Nations victories and were named Scrum Halftime along with Rhodri Williams (his last game in Wales was in 2014).

Callum Sheedy and Jarrod Evans are called two flying halves.

Jonathan Davies was named captain of the team, which was his previous role for the country in the 2019 Six Nations game against Italy. Willis Halaholo, who made his Six Nations debut was named along with Nick Tompkins and unrestricted Cardiff Rugby and former Welsh U20 center Ben Thomas, who can also bridge halftime.

Leigh Halfpenny has competed in 99 test caps (including 4 British and Irish Lions caps), and goes by the same name as Hallam Amos, Jonah Holmes (absent from the Six Nations due to injury), and Owen Lane (the last time he represented Wales in the RWC bronze medal match) team medal game), Ioan Lloyd (Ioan Lloyd) can play in the guard three-pointer and semi-open, and the uncapped scarlet guard Tom Rogers.

Welsh coach Wayne Pivac said: "We are really looking forward to this summer, working with this team and the three home tests we will undergo."

"I am very happy that we can choose five unlimited players in the team. This is an opportunity, just like the last autumn campaign, to integrate these players into the environment and expose them to the preparation test and in some cases the Rugby test game.

"This summer is not just about unlimited players, but also the international players who are gaining more experience. This is their chance to get more starters and appearances and take on leadership roles, so this is going to be an important period for us."

"Before we return to Cardiff for the three tests, we will have a training camp in North Wales, so we had a great time together.

"While the success of the Six Nations team is still fresh in the minds of many people, it is important that we continue to build depth and our game as we move forward with the 2023 RWC.
