Life is very much uncertain so an emergency can crop up anytime in anyone's life without prior notice. The most possible emergency in a person's life is an incident like a heart attack or stroke which requires emergency hospitalization and if the person who lives alone needs an emergency hospitalization then the situation becomes much worse.

Today in this article I am going to highlight what are the problems during emergency hospitalization and what are the possible solutions to overcome those problems-

The first and foremost problem is "ambulances never reach the spot on time". Most of the time this proves fatal for the patient, especially if the patient is senior. Patients also die inside the ambulance often while on their way to the hospital due to heavy traffic jams and long waiting times, especially in our country.

Sometimes while reaching the hospital the doctors in the emergency department without even properly checking the patient often advise transferring the patient to another hospital which is much well-known and is better equipped to deal with an emergency. Precious life is often lost during this transfer from one hospital to another and luckily if the patient is transferred quickly but while admitting, family members of the patient often face problems related to admission fees and other costs. Sometimes the charges are abrupt and not justified at all. But despite knowing the truth people remain tight-lipped to save their near and dear ones.

Senior people are often at risk of falling or tripping due to age-related issues and most of the time they need emergency hospitalization but the hospitals and nursing homes after knowing the reason tell that they could begin the treatment only after the police interventions. Delay in treatments often results in the death of the patient.

Now let's discuss possible solutions for emergency hospitalization especially for the senior people:-

Nowadays most Parents live alone as their children move abroad or migrate to other cities for better job prospects. Sometimes seniors who live alone need emergency hospitalization and there is no one to accompany him/her to the hospital. Keeping in mind the woos of the senior citizens who live all alone by themselves there are many elder care services in Kolkata as well as in India which provide round-the-clock emergency hospitalization services for our beloved seniors. From getting an ambulance to admitting the patient to a hospital and informing the family members the eldercare services do everything to save a precious life. They also have doctors and caregivers to treat an emergency patient. So it will be wise to keep their numbers handy if any emergency crops up. The eldercare services also provide home nursing services and other services to make the life of the senior comfortable.

"Prevention is better than Cure". As said, the best solution is to avoid the incidence of emergency hospitalization as much as possible. Though people are indeed bound to fall ill at some point in their life but with care and concern, we can reduce the chances of falling ill and requiring emergency hospitalization. Regardless of age, we all need to take care of our health, visit doctors at regular intervals, especially the senior people, eat highly nutritious food, practice meditation, and avoid falls and trips by walking carefully.

The above discussions would give a clear picture of the problems that we face during an emergency crisis related to health and what can be done to cope up or avoid the situation.
