4. Be clear about your expectations
Before the contract is even drawn up, meet with the customer service rep or manager to convey exactly what you’re going to want done and what you expect to have accomplished. "I don’t do windows," is a cliché, but it’s a cliché for a reason. You may think the jobs you need done are perfectly routine; the cleaning service may think otherwise. There may be extra charges, for example, for vacuuming all of the office furniture or steam cleaning the drapes.
