Why I Buy Bitcoin and Not Stocks

If you’re like me then you are probably wondering what the heck you can do with your hard earned savings in terms of investments. Just to give you some background, around 2000 I got into the stock market at the behest of my employer at the time. The company was doing well and we were all receiving sizable bonuses. I bought a house, financed of course, but still wanted something more substantial. So, I went into the market. Then, 9/11 happened and a few years later the whole housin market just imploeded. Ever since then the markets have struggled and I just haven't made any decent profits.

For people like me, that is to say middle-class, it’s a real struggle to figure how we’re ever going to retire. Once we make money we’re hit with inflation, or recession, or some other event that simply turns the markets upside down. That’s why I went into Bitcoin.

Crazy, huh? Yeah I know. But honestly, when you look at the state of the world today and factor in the rapid advances of technology in the financial sector, Bitcoin really starts to make sense.

Now, I’m no crazy high-speed FOREX trader. But I do like to do my homework. I’ve researched this a lot and I have to say that Bitcoin really is a smart choice. It’s super easy to get into — just sign up with a Bitcoin exchange — and you can easily start buying when the price dips and if you want, selling off when the value increases. It’s a heck of a lot easier than stocks & bonds, less volatile and complex than commodities, and much safer than FOREX.

There are a lot sites out there selling Bitcoin to you, but you probably want to be a bit wary with that. Instead, take time read about it and learn about. You’ll find that sites that are more information based are much more useful. There are also quite a few blogs now that are popping up. But again, look for people sharing information and reviewing services, rather than just outright selling.

One particular point I’d like to mention about Bitcoin is that it is not tied to any particular nation or currency. It’s really a global currency. For me, that’s great. I’ve become an online entrepreneur lately and am able to travel through Asia and Europe because I can work remotely. That’s why Bitcoin is so great. I keep my coins online, not in a bank. So I can access them anywhere in the world at the best possible exchange rates.

I say, ‘Go Bitcoin!’

Coinboxy is a great source of information to help you get started with bitcoin. You can go to http://coinboxy.com/ and read all about it there.
