Electricity is the most used and beneficial energy source for various domestic and commercial applications, especially lighting, but the natural resources required to generate electric energy have been limiting year by year. However, the use of low-power lighting sources offers the appropriate solution to this challenge. LED lighting is a powerful solution to curb power consumption. LED is not only a power saver but a money saver as well. LED lighting is environment-friendly. Light Emitting Diode (LED) is an innovative technology with unique characteristics that are ideal for cutting electric power consumption.

LED is suitable for both interior and exterior lighting.

Outdoor LED lighting applications

Exterior LED lighting systems are ideal for many outdoor applications, such as

  1. Adaptive lighting
  2. Building exteriors and other outdoor locations
  3. Landscape and decorative lighting
  4. Light distribution pattern analysis
  5. Parking lots and street lights
  6. Parking garage lighting

Traditional lighting systems used for outdoor applications use high-power bulbs, but the same number of LED bulbs generates brighter light with a reduction in the power consumption to one-tenth.

Indoor LED lighting applications

Cool indoor LED lighting systems are very safe because they generate less heat and run on low power. They are used for home illumination, office light, warehouse lighting, and many other applications. LED office lights have the following benefits:

  1. Near natural lighting office environment
  2. Increased work productivity with power safer efficiency
  3. Increase in overall morale of the office staff
  4. Increase in energy, mood, and vitality
  5. Better health of office employees

Office LED lights are very decorative and have a longer life. Their one-time price saves drastic savings on power bills for many years.

Troffer fixtures

Troffer lighting is very suitable for illuminating office spaces, schools, and lab facilities. The term ‘troffer’ refers to a rectangular or square light fixture that typically fits into a modular dropped ceiling grid, often described as “recessed." A troffer light fixture can accommodate multiple bulbs. Typical fixture sizes include 1x4 troffers, 2x2 troffers, and 2x4 troffers. Troffers are typically recessed sitting above the ceiling grid, but are also available in surface mount 'boxes'. Those with integral LEDs are often known instead as LED light panels. Troffers are widely used in many modern buildings.
