Friends or family members may advise a very sensitive individual to toughen up, let things go, get thicker skin, stop sobbing so much, or stop being so sensitive. You may be regularly overwhelmed and have difficulty dealing with problems that others appear to handle effortlessly. All of these events might lead a Highly Sensitive person to assume that they have a problem that needs to be addressed. Being a high-functioning personality isn't a bad thing. It simply means that you digest information, such as hints, emotions, and experiences, more thoroughly. You are very aware of your surroundings and possess a remarkable ability to detect tiny signs in your surroundings that others may miss. As an HSP, you may have encountered events or individuals that made you doubt yourself, your perceptions, or your skills. This is not a pleasant sensation, and it may make you feel defective in some manner. We are hesitant to let others in because we are afraid of betrayal, loss, or rejection. Asking for help might feel hazardous for an HSP, regardless of how difficult they are at work, in their personal life, or their relationships. It might be intimidating to consider that we would need to trust someone with our stories and experiences to help us achieve healing and serenity when we have very deep wounds that require healing, such as abuse or trauma.

If you choose to work with us for treatment, we will be there to support you as you grow, gain new skills, and overcome your suffering. When you work with us, you'll have someone on your side, fighting your battles alongside you, challenging you when you need to be prodded (or pushed), and treating you with love and care throughout the process. Sandiegotherapy invites you to look at yourself through our eyes. The objective of a highly sensitive person therapist will be to help you understand that you are whole, which will help you feel more confident, satisfied, joyous, loved and connected, focused, accepting, and at ease in your skin. We will collaborate to help you grow into the person you want to be. And we will do everything we can to assist you in continuing your path with the knowledge that you deserve, capable, and good enough... completely aware that you are whole.
