The Morris Collection of outdoor and country clothing, manufactured by the iconic Barbour, pays homage to William Morris, the celebrated textile designer who lived mostly in London from 1834 until his death in 1896. William Morris was a leading voice of the Arts and Crafts Movement in 19th century Britain and contributed significantly to the revival and glorification of traditional English textile design, particularly in terms of production methods. Always a busy man, Morris also found time to write novels and poetry while offering translation services where he was able.
