The new Barbour Autumn/Winter collection has arrived! This much-awaited array of quality outdoor clothing is guaranteed to cause a stir and Ken Varey’s already have access to an eclectic range of garments and accessories. Check out what’s new and watch this space for more items to be added soon!

Barbour hardly need an introduction - the brand has existed for more than 120 years and has built up an unmatched reputation for quality in its carefully-designed selection of outdoor wear. Such a highly-regarded brand must keep its finger firmly on the pulse of developing trends which is something Barbour seem to manage effortlessly, as evidenced by their latest collection of stylish garments.

The Morris Collection of outdoor and country clothing, manufactured by the iconic Barbour, pays homage to William Morris, the celebrated textile designer who lived mostly in London from 1834 until his death in 1896. Ken Varey’s Town and Country Wear are pleased to bring you the latest addition to the collection - the Barbour Morris Utility Quilt Jacket.

William Morris was a leading voice of the Arts and Crafts Movement in 19th century Britain and contributed significantly to the revival and glorification of traditional English textile design, particularly in terms of production methods. Always a busy man, Morris also found time to write novels and poetry while offering translation services where he was able. He is honoured in the Barbour Morris range of clothing in image as well as name - each piece of outdoor clothing from the collection is adorned at inner collar and cuffs with original William Morris prints from the archive, bringing elements of art, history and fashion together in a stunning range of country clothing.

This jacket is modelled on Barbour’s signature Utility Quilt (naturally, featuring its classic multiple-pockets) but is given extra elegance and femininity with a tailored cut and adjustable waist-tabs at the back. A diamond-quilted outer is enhanced with zipped cuffs, a two-way zip fastener and a gorgeously-studded placket while the funnel neck adds extra cosiness for the colder days of winter.

Versatile and practical, the Barbour Morris Women’s Utility Quilted Jacket can be worn open or closed, making it perfect for right through autumn and well into the New Year. Three colour choices (versatile Black, classic Navy and the truly-stunning Rosewood) are available to make sure you can create the perfect look. Team it with other items of quality country clothing from Barbour to make sure you look sharp and feel good for the season, always confident that Ken Varey’s Town and Country Wear consistently offer our customers the most competitive prices.
