Here are some breathing techniques that help an individual to sleep better:
1.Abdominal Breathing:-
It refers to breathing where an individual deep breathly through the abdomen rather than breathing swallow through the chest. You should follow these steps to make sure that you are breathing from the diaphragm.
Always lie down with straight legs. Likewise, your toes should be pointing outwards. Make sure your palms are facing upwards.
Abdominal breathing is effective as it is helpful in slowing down the various functions in the body that keep a person tensed and anxious. When you inhale more deeply, the person feels less anxious.
2.Keep repeating Mantra
In addition to abdominal breathing, one can also add mantras to their routine. Mantras help you to breathe well.
While breathing in say inhale relaxation similarly while breathing out say exhale tension.
3.4-7-8 breathing routine
Like other exercises, it is one of the best techniques that help you to sleep better.
Following are the recommendations, you should always keep in mind:-
Keep your posture straight.
Placing the tip of the tongue behind the upper front teeth and keep it there only.
Do not exhale with your nose, in addition to it try to exhale through your mouth. It will help in producing whooshing sound.
