First Time Sensex Reached 54,700 and Nifty Crossed 16,300

The stock markets closed with great gains for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday. The Sensex touched a record level of 54,717 and Nifty 16,349 during trading and finally the Sensex closed at 54,492.84 with a gain of 123 points. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 16,294 with a gain of 35 points.

Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 16 are up and 14 closed in the red mark. In which the highest share of Bharti Airtel closed at 598 with a gain of 3.97%. SBI and IndusInd Bank are among the biggest losers.

Market got support from IT stocks

The market got support from IT stocks. Nifty IT was up 0.76% on NSE. In the IT sector, Oracle Finance's share closed at 1249 with a gain of 2.84% and Tech Mahindra's share by 2.75%. Business News, At the same time, there was pressure in the PSU Bank sector. PSU Bank was down more than 2% and Nifty Realty sector was down 1%.

3,351 shares traded on BSE

3,351 shares were traded on the BSE. In this 1,205 shares gained and 2,021 shares declined. Shares of 305 companies closed at 52-week high on BSE. The total market cap of the listed companies has also crossed Rs 239.36 lakh crore. Earlier on Wednesday, the Sensex closed at 54,370 with a gain of 546.41 points. On the other hand, Nifty closed at 16,259 with a gain of 128 points.

Chemplast Sanmar fixes price band

Chemplast Sanmar has fixed the price band for the issue. The company has fixed the IPO price band at Rs 530-541 per share. The company plans to raise Rs 3,850 crore through the issue.

Flipkart may be fined 10 thousand crores

According to the news quoted by Reuters, a fine of $ 1.35 billion (Rs 10 thousand crore) may be imposed on Flipkart and its founders. ED issues notice to Flipkart for violating foreign investment laws. It has been asked in the notice that the founders should explain why they should not be fined.

Vodafone-Idea shares lost over 40% in last one week

Vodafone-Idea's stock has lost more than 40% in the last one week. The stock fell as much as 15% in early trading today. The stock closed at Rs 8.30 on Friday, July 30. There is a fall in the stock due to the resignation of Kumar Mangalam Birla as the non-executive chairman of the company, apart from this, a few days ago Kumar Mangalam Birla had also offered to sell the stake.

Asia's stock markets

Talking about the stock markets of Asia, Japan's Nikkei is trading at 27,711 with a gain of 0.46%. China's Shanghai Composite was down 0.31% at 3466. Trending Songs, Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell 0.84%??to 26,205 and Korea's Kospi fell 0.13% to 3,276. Australia's All Ordinary closed flat at 7,780.

American Stock Market

Earlier, there was a slight sell-off in the US stock market as well. The Dow Jones closed down 0.92% at 34,792. The Nasdaq also remained flat, with the Nasdaq gaining 0.13%. While the S&P closed down 0.46% at 4,402.
