4 reasons that make you feel hungry all-day

Anyone here has never found themselves in the following situation:

It's been exactly two hours and thirty-three minutes since your last meal (you know why you've been looking at your watch ever since...). Your stomach is a bottomless pit. Dinner twice is a must. And feeling nervous from hunger is a real and constant threat.

I go through it DIRECTLY! That's why I was excited to discover an article by the scientific expert of Elements Behavioral Health and author of The Hunger Fix book, Pamela Peek, which talks about the top 4 reasons why some women always live with a ravenous appetite!!

1- YOU HAVE AN ACCELERATED METABOLISM!

Some women were born lucky. Others worked hard to build muscle, thereby speeding up their metabolism. And, of course, THE FASTER YOUR METABOLISM, THE MORE FUEL YOU NEED.

According to a University of Vermont survey, about 32% of people have metabolisms that are more than 8% different (higher or lower) than the population average. Having a fast metabolism can increase your caloric expenditure by an extra 100 to 400 calories a day, says Peeke. It may not be as much as you would like, but that would explain why you PRE-CI-SA-VA of that second slice of lasagna (lol).

2- YOU ARE EATING PROCESSED FOOD!!!

Processed foods—such as white bread, crackers, or even some salad dressings—cause spikes in blood insulin that drop quickly and then leave us feeling even hungrier than we were before we ate these foods.

Research published in the International Journal of Obesity shows that FOODS RICH IN REFINED SUGAR DIRECTLY INTERFERE WITH CHEMICAL ELEMENTS OF MOOD REGULATION IN THE BRAIN, LEADING TO SYMPTOMS OF DEPRESSION AND DRESSING.

" REFINED SUGAR, BECAUSE IT HAS SUCH A POWERFUL EFFECT ON THE BRAIN REWARD CENTER, IS THE MOST COMMON REASON PEOPLE'S APPETITE STAYS SO HIGH ALL DAY " ( check out the post we made here about what happens to our body when we stopped consuming refined sugar ), says Peeke.

LIMIT THE AMOUNT OF PACKAGED FOOD YOU ARE EATING AND AVOID THE MAXIMUM CONSUMPTION OF REFINED SUGAR.

3- YOUR HORMONES ARE OUT OF TUNING!

PMS is one thing, but a few hormonal "riddles" could be the reason we've been starving all month. HYPERTHYROIDISM (HYPERACTIVITY OF THE THYROID GLAND) IS THE MOST COMMON HORMONAL CAUSE OF CONSTANT HUNGER, SAYS PEEKE.

When your thyroid hormones are too high, your body's vital functions speed up and you burn energy faster than expected. "Grave Illness" is the most common cause of hyperthyroidism.

Meanwhile, hypoglycemia, as well as pre-diabetes and diabetes (elevated blood sugar levels), can also cause hunger pangs, she says. IF YOU DIStrust THAT ANY OF THESE SITUATIONS APPLY TO YOU, TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR TO DIAGNOSE POSSIBLE HORMONAL IMBALANCES.

4- YOU ARE CONFUSED HUNGER WITH THE WANT TO EAT!

Sorry for the blunt truth, but MOST WOMEN WHO ARE "ALWAYS HUNGRY" ACTUALLY JUST ARE ALWAYS WILLING TO EAT.

"Hunger is a primarily biological cause associated with physical symptoms such as headaches, tremors, intestinal contractions and that lead to hunger, for example, making your stomach rumble," says Peeke.

"APPETITE (OR DESIRE TO EAT) IS A PSYCHOLOGICAL UNIT IN WHICH YOU WANT A CERTAIN FOOD AND EAT IT".

While ideally, they should take place together, this is not always the case. TRY TO BE VERY HONEST WITH YOURSELF AND ASK YOURSELF MENTALLY IF YOU NEED TO EAT THAT NUMBER OR IF YOU ARE JUST WILLING.
