The new Motorola phone is launched

Motorola , has done well with budget and mid-range smartphones, but the company hasn't been able to translate that success into the premium smartphone market or even the foldable phone market (for the original Razr). Motorola. is trying to fix this problem with the new Motorola Edge.

The latest version of the New Motorola Edge is certainly also the successor to last year’s regular Edge model, not high-end flagship hardware. Edge Plus is designed to challenge high-end phones from Samsung and OnePlus. is trying to compete again in the crowded high-end Android market in the US.

The Motorola Edge replaces two devices in one: the exclusive $ 999 Verizon Edge + and the $ 699 unlocked Edge, which includes some new camera tricks, a faster processor, and a larger screen that looks set to be a trend for 2021

Camera: The new Motorola Edge has a 108MP main camera as well as an 8MP f / 2.2 ultra-wide-angle camera with Motorola's "Macro Vision" function and a 2MP depth camera. Completes the process with a 32-megapixel front camera.

Screen: The new Motorola Edge starts with a 6.8-inch Max Vision display; Marketing names aside, this monitor performed well in our tests last year and we expect it to perform well with vibrant colors and deep blacks on the LCD. Motorola sticks to Full HD + resolution but does not increase the refresh rate. at 144Hz from 90Hz, which is much higher than the iPhone Galaxy S21's 60Hz and 120Hz screens. It will give you a very real experience in content viewing and daily use of the device. How many times per second the screen can be refreshed and the speed promised here is at least high.

Processor: The the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor and 6 or 8 GB of RAM. Like the recently launched Pixel 5a with 5G, it's not necessarily a flagship processor. Notably, this is a complete series powered by the Snapdragon 888G that powers the Galaxy. S21, Z Flip 3 and even Z Fold 3. We hope Motorola has made some changes to improve efficiency. Here, but we don't know what the performance will be on the top-end device. 5G networks MmWave and Sub6. are the highest standards in the United States.

Price: The new Motorola Edge will launch as an unlocked device on September 2nd with pre-orders on August 23rd.There is some anticipation between the announcement, pre-orders, and the actual release date that is about to occur. A bit unusual, the offer is available from the first day. It will go back to $ 699.99. It's not a bad deal, but you're facing stiff competition from multiple devices, so unbox Edge.

Motorola’s latest Edge hasn’t changed much, and those who already have Edge or Edge + probably won’t need to update it. It has a 6.8-inch display with a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, three cameras, Motorola’s Android 11, and a stable midrange. It also includes support for mmWave and Sub6 5G. And, like any recent Motorola device, it will have Moto Actions for simple gesture commands and the ability to "highlight" the edge of the screen. A trick, but it uses the beveled edges of the screen on the left and right. For example, it can glow in a specific color when a notification appears.
