It is a special electrode for repairing the welds as well as for joining components and parts made out of various types of cast irons, the rectification of defective casting in cast iron foundry.

LoTherme-602 is an electrode for hardfacing the metal, it is further characterized by a stable arc, which is very easy to strike and restrike. This hardfacing electrode contains good slag detachability and weld beads of fine appearance. Lotherme-602 operates equally well on AC as well as DC in all conventional positions. This electrode is an ideal suit for a number of applications, which demand good abrasion resistance, combined with a fairly high degree of toughness.
