Being a business broker within the Philadelphia area, I can tell you from experience that the bulk of buyers aren't serious and are just "kicking tires."

It doesn't take long for business brokers to become callous and short with the bulk of potential buyers inquiring about a few businesses. Truth be told, business brokers can tell pretty quickly if a buyer is serious or not. That being said, here are a couple of tips to assist you to pass "tire kicker" status if you're a significant buyer.

Tip 1: structure your mind that you simply are a significant buyer. Business brokers get calls all the time from buyers who think that they'll make the jump from their weekly paycheck if they find the proper business.
