Mantra is a complete set of words of Vedas attributed to lords or devas. These are the Vedic hymns recited at various occasions and rites.Homas are performed to appease the deities. Mantras have descended on us from our maharishis, saints, sadhus and yogis who after recitation of mantras for several thousand years guided us to follow them. They fully understood the value of mantra and this was basic part of education at that time and was treated a best medium for the progress of life. Mantras cannot be tailor-made for the individual. They have always existed in a latent state as sound energies. Mantras were revealed to the ancient master’s; they have been codified in the scriptures and handed down from guru to disciple. Each mantra is associated with an actual sage who once lived. This means that the mantra was probably arrived through some form of meditation and subsequently tested by the person who first encountered it. Sanskrit mantras are composed of letters which correspond to certain petals or spokes of chakras in the subtle body. There is a direct relationship between the mantra sound and the chakras located throughout the body. Saying any word produces an actual physical vibration. Over time, if we know what the effect of that vibration is, then the word may come to have meaning associated with the effect of saying that vibration or word. This is one level of energy basis for words.  If the actual physical vibration is coupled with a mental intention, the vibration then contains an additional mental component which influences the appearance and effect of a while light. Mantras start a powerful vibration which corresponds to both a specific spiritual energy frequency and a state of consciousness in seed form. The mantra process begins to override all the other smaller vibrations, which is absorbed by the mantra. Ultimately, rate completely in tune with the energy and spiritual state represented by and contained within the mantra. Each mantra is associated with an actual sage who once lived.
