A place that is well known for entrepreneurship and technology has now devised a new AI algorithm. A group of researchers has developed an algorithm based on machine learning and Artificial Intelligence that can examine a particular drug. Furthermore, the AI algorithm can also recommend a drug to an individual based on its effectiveness.

The AI industry has now begun to establish its foothold in all spaces of global industries. It is especially true in the case of biotech or pharmaceutical industries. Now, a piece of news is coming from Israel is Quris has designed an AI algorithm that can advise for drugs and could tell you whether a certain drug is effective or not.

Furthermore, the company has been launched recently and has recently declared $9 million through seed funding. The company is a part of the pharmaceutical industry under the biotech domain and is already working towards providing an effective AI program.

Robert Langer, who is a prominent professor in medicine and hails from MIT, has made a statement. He has said that the whole industry is about to reach the threshold of the sophistication of drug manufacturing. He added that the Quris initiative would provide a great market value to the companies based in pharmaceutical companies and our society as a whole.

Robert Langer has been largely involved in the foundation of the company and is currently a distinguished member of the scientific board. The company, which currently has very few employees, was launched last week. Since the time of its launch, the company has also managed to lure some investors and has managed to assemble a seed funding of $9 million. As per the reports, the money would go to the future projects of Quris. In order to support its efforts, several investors have also come forward.

The Testing Stage of Quris AI Algorithm

All the eyes have been fixed on the board of scientific advisory in the company in which Robert Langer is a member. The chairman of the board is a well-known figure. He is none other than Nobel laureate named Aaron Ciechanover. The company is based in Israel and is operating from there, but it also has a base in Boston. It is a part of the biotech industry and falls under the subdomain of the pharmaceutical industry. And, now the company has announced itself in the industry by designing an AI program that can comprehensively analyze a drug for individuals. So, if an individual wants to know which drug would suit him the most, then this algorithm would work best for him.

The Artificial Intelligence engine from Quris has parameters such as efficacy predictor and candidate safety. And, in order to successfully perform its analysis, it uses nano circulation chips, nanosensors, and cost-effective and miniature biochips.

Currently, the algorithm has not been made available for public use. And, currently, it has reached the testing stage. Scientists at Quris are implementing the algorithm on one of the most ubiquitous and popular drugs used, such as Paracetamol, on a worldwide basis.

For this project, the new company has also established a partnership with an institute known as New York Stem Cell Research and Foundation Institute.

The creative way that the Quris are adopting will make them bypass the lengthy and costly testing process. Clinical trials do cost a fortune for the company creating drugs, and animal testing has always proven to be ineffective.

Conclusion

Drug discovery would play a crucial role in the future as humans would continue to evolve. With the advancement in technology, it is expected that AI would introduce innovation in every industry. Now, an Israel-based company called Quris has developed an ML and AI algorithm that can examine a drug and can also recommend whether a drug is suitable for intake or not.
