NEET is the exam which is the National eligibility entrance test for the undergraduates which was earlier known as the All India pre-medical test. This is a test which in India is a test to determine entrance for the students who want to pursue undergraduate MBBS and Dental, BDS and AYUSH courses in all the private and government institutions in India. This test is conducted by the NTA which is the National Testing Agency. This exam has replaced the AIPMT. This is a single entrance test to more than 60000 medical aspirants across the country.

There are some books which are objectively good than the NCERT for this exam especially in the subject like Biology and this subject is very important for the NEET exam. Biology section has two sections to be answered- Zoology and Botany. So both the different topics needs to be learnt in depth for this exam.

Some of the best books recommended are- Biology Vol One and Two which is by Trueman, Dinesh’s objective Biology, Ansari Objective Botany. Another good book that is recommended is the Modern ABC for Biology which has two parts, Also others like Exploring Biology by Sanjay Sharma and Medical Entrance Biology by Mamta Solanki.

NCERT should be kept as the forefront book for this preparation but not exploring others will actually make the student lose out on important points which might have been missed by NCERT.

When it comes to the other tougher subjects like Physics and Chemistry, we cannot stress enough how important it is to take reference from some other books as well because they do provide a lot of numerical that can really help.

For Physics, this is the toughest section in the paper and it requires more conceptual knowledge. Physics has many numerical and thus NCERT is not enough for NEET. Below are some books we recommend:

If the big question is if NCERT is enough for the NEET then it is essential to note that the once the student finishes the NCERT then they can also follow the books recommended to secure good marks in the National entrance Exam. NCERT are known to create only the basis of the foundation it is but important the students need to refer to other books as well. This is to building their knowledge and confidence. The total questions in the paper is 180 and out of these half of them will be based on the same topics as discussed in the NCERT. NCERT is the best book to refer that it is the starting book to refer to. NEET has multiple choices questions and using only the NCERT will not help. Taking help of other books will help the students to get access to some of the strategy and better way of studying. The Books other than NCERT will help the students try to complete the question paper within the given time frame as well which is very important for securing good marks.

Without some of the studies which are relevant than the NCERT the MBBS aspirants will not understand the structure and level of difficulty for the NEET and the exam pattern will not include the marking scheme and some of the other aspects of the examination.

The Syllabus of the NEET will have core concepts of Physics, Chemistry and Biology taught in Classes 11 and 12. Since the organizing body is the NTA it has been the agency who conducts the NEET from 2019. The All India Pre Medical Test which is the AIPMT which was held on May 2016 was considered as the NEET phase one. The exam pattern was that there are 180 questions and 180 mins in total. The exam is of 720 marks and this is the maximum marks one can get.
