When we say ‘Tip of the Iceberg’, the protruding tip of the iceberg represents our conscious awareness(we will get back to it). Only the conscious mind is the "tip of the iceberg." The vast majority of the iceberg, which represents the unconscious, is submerged in water. Let's delve deeper into these levels to learn more about how they work.

The Three Levels of Human Consciousness-The Conscious, Unconscious, and the Subconscious Minds

Conduct and personality, according to Sigmund Freud, are the consequence of constant and unique interaction of contending psychological forces functioning at three levels of awareness: preconscious, conscious, and unconscious.

To understand Freud's theory, you must first understand what he thought each component of personality accomplished, how it worked, and how these three components interact to contribute to human experience.

The Conscious Mind

The conscious state is the initial level of consciousness, and it corresponds to our current awareness as you read this. We use our conscious mind when we get information from our senses, process it, and then make decisions based on that information.

The Subconscious Mind

Dreams are formed at the subconscious level of consciousness. It might be thought of as a repository for all recalled experiences, the mental impressions they leave, and the tendencies that these impressions arouse or perpetuate.

The Unconscious Mind

The unconscious is the highest level of awareness. This is made up of our subconscious ideas, memories, and primitive/instinctual wants, which are buried deep within us, far below our conscious awareness. Despite the fact that we are oblivious of their presence, they have a significant influence on our behaviour.

Explore Consciousness at The Coaching Conclave

Every single being that has ever existed has passed through various levels of human consciousness. Every iota that arises from Shunya evolves, multiplies, and expands till it merges with consciousness.

And, the consciousness further expands into collective awareness. What happens after that – is the journey that we are explored at The Coaching Conclave 2021.

Each level of consciousness contributes to the shaping of human behaviour and thought.

According to Sigmund Freud, conduct and personality are the result of the continual and unique interaction of competing psychological forces operating at three distinct levels of awareness: preconscious, conscious, and unconscious. He felt that each of these components of the mind has a significant influence on behaviour.

To comprehend Freud’s theory, it is necessary to first comprehend what he believed each component of personality accomplished, how it functioned, and how these three components interact to contribute to human experience.

While an iceberg floats in the water, the vast majority of it remains submerged. Only a small portion of the total is visible above the surface, while the largest and most influential portion remains hidden beneath it.

Similarly, each of us will frequently reveal a portion of ourselves to others while concealing a larger portion of ourselves that no one ever sees.
