My favorite mexican snack

As game day approaches, I keep going back and forward to what should I serve for my guests.

Truth is, I LOVE snacks, I mean, don't get me wrong, I love easy snacks, like just cutting a bunch of fruit and drizzling with lime juice and sprinkling some chili powder on top. Just the way we Mexican eat fruit...did you know that?

Anyway, Mexican snacks are the best for any party. They can be delicious, they can be fun, they can be easy, and they can be even healthy. Ah-ah! you didn't expect that, did you?

So, I have so many Mexican snacks in my mind right now, some include fruits, others include vegetables, and many others include even meat on it.

Yes, those appetizers can be so versatile and I love that!

I don't like processed foods, as a Mexican born in the '70s and now, as Italian as well (I mean, with Italian eating habits, that's it), I really hate opening cans to make my food, and when I do that is mostly one can of tomatoes, which here in Italy, is something pretty common.

Anyway, as I was saying, hate processed food, especially heavily, or ultra-processed.

Minimally and moderately, such as roasted nuts, dried chopped apples, frozen fruit and vegetables, and sometimes canned tuna, can be fine though.

Back to my post, my favorite snack is something fun and crunchy called tostilocos

  • they are made with heavily processed foods, such as corn chips, and other salty-spicy chips, besides sugary treats. BUT, also with fresh fruit which makes me crave it from time to time.

So, for you, what's your favorite snack ever?

As I said, mine are those corn chips with lots and lots of processed foods, but hey, don't judge, is not like I am eating those on a daily basis. No way. I only eat those very, VERY, rarely.

Oh, and yes, you might think: And what's for a drink? Well, those delicious chips are best with a nice, cold cerveza on the side.

But also other beverages are superb, such as tepache, agua fresca de tamarindo, agua de limón y chía, or well, just sprinkle water with ice. After all, is all about moderation my friends.

Anyway, please do let me know what are your favorite snacks, either with or without processed foods.
