Challenges Faced by JEE or NEET Aspirants — 2021

Those students who aspire to get admission to top ranking engineering colleges in India, then IIT JEE is the entrance examination which they have to qualify. JEE examination is one of the toughest competitive examinations. Every year, lakhs of students appear for this examination and only less than 1% of the students qualify in the examination. Those who are interested in medicine, then NEET is the examination which they have to qualify. It has three subjects – chemistry, biology and physics which are really tough. Students find physics subject very tough.
The gap between the board examination and NEET examination is only two months. And the syllabus is also very extensive. That is why, students’ progress less in the examination. Since there is less time, the difficulty level increases. Also, every year more than 10 lakhs students appear for the NEET examination.
Given below are some common challenges faced by JEE or NEET aspirants and how to handle these problems:
- Revision: During revision, students make the most common mistake. They think that reading a topic once is enough for revision. But this is not the case. If you revise by heart, then you can get to the top. It is not that you have to revise just before the examination or after completing the syllabus. Revision is a continuous process of your preparation. If you revise on a daily basis, then you can retain the concepts for a long time.
- Right study material: Choosing the correct study material is another common mistake which students make. Nowadays, there are various books available in the market from which students can choose from. But the question that arises is which books to study from. There might be a book which your friend is preparing from, but you might not understand the language and concepts that are there in the book. This will affect you a lot. So, the best way is to take professional advice. Professionals can guide you to choose the best book for you and how you can score good marks by studying from these books. The faculties are there to provide and solve the IIT JEE test series and will guide you the proper strategy for NEET test preparation and give you the required modules and test series.
- Planning: The time to prepare for IIT JEE and NEET examinations is very less. Hence, students need to plan and organize everything. Students waste their valuable time because they did not have a proper plan and did everything haphazardly. Some students did make a plan but they did not implement it.
- Over-confidence: One should have the right amount of confidence to succeed in life but having over-confidence is detrimental to one’s success. IIT JEE and NEET examinations are the toughest competitive examinations. So, one should have the correct amount of confidence to come out successful in the examinations. On the other hand, having over-confidence will only bring downfall.
- Another most common problem is what to do after failing IIT JEE? - One should not give up hope if he or she fails in IIT JEE examination because passing or failing in the examination does not define who you are. First one should take a deep breath and find mental peace. Realize that you are pure consciousness, and there is infinite potential within you.
- How you can make failures a happy experience in IIT JEE preparation- Success and failures does not exist in the universe. It all depends on our own perceptions on how we view life. Thus, in order to turn failures into happy experiences, we must try to bring the thoughts into realities. We can follow our dreams with three simple steps:
- Dream it which gives the driving force.
- Believe it which provides a reason to move on in life overcoming all the failures.
- Do it which is the first step of our journey.
- Depression among students and how to handle them- There are many cases where students end up their lives which happen as a result of unable to handle extreme pressure. These unfortunate incidents can be prevented by providing counselling services to students. It is very important to understand the reasons of depression among students which forces them to commit suicide.
