A commercial pilot earns an average of INR 1.5 to 2 lakhs (approx.) per month as a fresher. With experience, it increases around INR 5-6 lakhs (approx.) per month. A commercial pilot after gathering a work experience of 8-10 years can become a flight Instructor and can act as a guiding star to hundreds of youngsters who dream of touching the sky.

Aeronautical Engineers:

Interested in aircraft and its mechanisms? Becoming an aeronautical engineer will be perfect for you. The primary duty of an aeronautical engineer includes designing propulsion systems and aircraft and studying the aerodynamic performance of the aircraft. The average starting salary for this position is around 4-6 lakhs annually which increases with experience.

Airport Operations Manager:

An Airport cannot function smoothly without an airport operations manager. The prime responsibility of an Airport Operations Manager is to oversee the daily functioning of an airport. The person is also responsible for coordinating with the various departments and teams in the airport such as pilots, air traffic controllers, emergency crews, and security personnel. The airport operations manager evaluates the performances of the said departments and supervises if those departments are following the prescribed rules and regulations. They also perform regular checks and inspections and enforce any changes which they deem suitable for the smooth functioning of an airport. The starting salary ranges from INR 6-7 Lakhs (per annum). Experienced professionals earn approximately INR 1 Lakh per month.

Aircraft Maintenance Manager:

The Aircraft maintenance manager monitors all aircraft, the support equipment, and the component maintenance. The person plans, supervises, and schedules the maintenance procedures and also sees to it that all the maintenance procedure guidelines are followed accordingly. Moreover, the aircraft maintenance manager is also responsible for training and guiding team members to carry out proper maintenance activities. The average salary of an aircraft maintenance manager ranges from INR 7 Lakhs to 20lakhs per annum.

Air Traffic Controllers:

Air Traffic Controllers are the guiding stars for the pilots. They are in charge of the safety of the aircraft which they ensure through radars and radio contact. It is the Air Traffic Controllers who stay in touch with the pilots from take-off till landing. They direct the aircraft movement to the pilot along with informing them about the weather. All the emergencies faced by the aircraft are tackled by the ATC. Technically, the pilot is controlled by the ATC. The salary they receive per month is 50,000 to 1,00,000 INR. Hence, their income per annum is 6 lakhs to 12 lakhs INR.

Aviation Trainer or Instructors:

The main responsibility of an Aviation trainer is to teach and help students learn and excel in their respective courses and also to resolve all queries of the students. The average salary for the position of an aviation trainer ranges from INR 50,000 TO 80,000 per month according to experience.
