High care is essential for everyone’s teeth

Dental care is one of the most basic needs of an individual these days. We are taught to take care of our teeth from our childhood. Every child is taught from a very young age to brush twice a day and to floss regularly. Teeth are one of the most noticeable parts of our physique and it is imperative to keep them well maintained. In India, oral hygiene has always been well focused upon. Before the use of toothbrushes and toothpastes became popular, people used to brush their teeth with Neem Twigs (‘Daatun’). Scientific research has shown that this is one of the most effective ways to maintain oral hygiene.

However, no matter how good care we take of our teeth, there is always a chance that some dental problem such as cavities or gum problems may occur. This is where the need for dental treatment arises. Dental treatment in India was not very popular before 1990s due to lack of awareness and dearth of qualified dentists. Also it was considered as more of a luxury than a necessity. But during the last two decades, it has really picked up, with a rise in the number of qualified dentists and due to a lot of awareness created by factors like the media. The number of dental clinics in India has increased exponentially, especially in urban areas, and a large percentage of families visit the dentist regularly. Be it a regular check-up, or a visit to the orthodontist, families nowadays make it a point to make time in their busy schedule for their teeth.

Perfect dental treatment and suitable clinic in India

Being a dentist in present day India has also become a desirable job, with dental treatment in India becoming an indispensible part of life. Increasing number of dental clinics and dental facilities in hospitals has been a catalyst to that end. There is a growing demand for qualified dental experts including orthodontists. Opening a dental clinic in India can prove to be a very profitable enterprise.

Therefore, it can be seen that all the advertising by the Indian Dental Association promoting dental care has paid off, with more and more people starting to take good care of their teeth. Dental care is a very important part of an individual's personal hygiene, and each and every one of us should keep in mind that good teeth make a good smile. And a good smile makes a good impression.
